It was not an easy decision to make. But Rajendra Pratap Singh had decided to kick his ego and settle for happiness instead. He didn’t have the heart to turn down the request made by his daughter-in-law Avni when she affectionately demanded, Papa, you have to stay with us in Mumbai.
Rajendra’s wealthy jeweller friend Vijay Shekhawat had made all arrangements for Rajendra and Girija Singh’s stay in the same five-star hotel in South Bombay where his son Nikunj’s wedding reception would take place. But Girija wanted to stay with her son Kush in his modest two-bedroom apartment in suburban Mumbai. Incidentally, Kush aka Inspector Kushagra Pratap Singh had not requested either of his parents to stay over at his house during their Mumbai trip. Though he felt guilty about how he had misunderstood his father in the past, Kush was never comfortable with expressing his feelings. He let Avni take the lead instead.
