About this ebook

The mangled corpse of a woman is found lying in a dumpster with her eyes scooped out, fingernails pulled out, bones broken, and limbs twisted the other way. An honest CB-CID officer named Raunak Sharma is put in charge of the case. An exceptionally talented and pretty female reporter, Samaira, follows him, intending to tarnish his reputation through her story. The only way to do that is to make sure she finds the killer before him. Will she? And who is the killer? Is it the millionaire husband? Or the secretary who has always been jealous of her? Or is it someone she already knew and trusted?

It was ten in the morning and the dark alley looked normal – abnormally normal. Fallen leaves, bits of scrap, used cloth bits, empty beverage cans and trash constituted the ten feet wide alley between the two worn out, creepy apartments. The clouds darkened in a moment, and a puff of moist wind blew across the alley, throwing up dust and dried leaves in the air. A crushed coke can rattled, rolled and hit the bottom of a metal dumpster. The clank was the only sound in the desolate street apart from swooning of the wind.

Clouds roared and the first drops of rain hit the cold forehead of the corpse that lay peacefully in the dumpster. The scalp of the dead woman housed a bloody dent and all her hair were plucked out. The ridges of her brows, her jaw line and her collar bones were smashed. Her once-upon-a-time beautiful eyes were neatly scooped out, leaving two dark holes in place of them. As a matter of fact, it looked like a piece of art.
