It was six in the morning and the early rays of the sun reflected off the inanimate puddles in the desolate alley. There was not a single soul in sight. Three houses and six to eight shuttered retail shops adorned the alley. Even during the day, the alley saw just a handful of buyers and retailers drop by.
Amidst a pile of clothes and scraps and empty cartons of beer and broken beverage bottles in the corner of the alley, she lay – lifeless. The swooshing wind threw up dust and trash off the ground which landed on the woman’s beautiful face and toned torso. Her head was lifted high up from the floor, as if she wanted to get a better look at her toes. Her arms were raised up in the air, as if she was happily counting the stars in the sky. Her palms were flexed backward, her fingers pointing to something behind her head. Her legs were also lifted high and she looked like a baby lying on its back, kicking its feet – only a lot stiller. Her thighs were wide open as if she wanted to be humped by a fat guy in the missionary position. Her feet were flexed, her toes pointing upward. But her back rested flat on the floor. Her eyes were wide open and her skin was cold and insanely white.
Suddenly, the lights came on in the bedroom of a two-story house right across where she laid lifeless. Curtains unveiled, revealing a pale face at the window. It was just a regular,
