"Round and round the garden, like a teddy bear,

One step, two steps, tickle you under there."

Raman Arora had watched the same video for the tenth time in a row. Tears welled up in his eyes as he watched his son Prithvi giggling with joy each time Raman tickled him while singing the nursery rhyme. The video was recorded sixteen years ago in Raman’s sprawling garden, adjacent to his palatial bungalow in Old Delhi. It was Prithvi’s fourth birthday.

Raman, now a resident of Mumbai, hadn’t met his son in the past three years. There was no way he was going to face Prithvi now. Life felt meaningless to Raman. Every day, he was fighting with his own mind and making futile attempts to convince himself that everything would be normal again. The feeling of guilt didn’t let him rest.

    Tavleen knocked at his door.

Raman, everyone is waiting. Come on out now.
