    Introduction

    For the sake of clarity Christ’s work on the cross will be presented in the following stages Judgement, Appeasement and Blessing (J.A.B. for short)

    In reality, the Biblical record implies that a considerable overlap between the first two stages with the third stage being more distinct.  The first sign of blessing became most apparent following Jesus’ resurrection. All three stages need to be borne in mind throughout this study.
