    Introduction

    Why Survival?

Right now the concept of survival is very popular. The television show Survivor has great ratings. Numerous magazine articles and books talk about surviving and survival situations. The survivors from hurricane Katrina have been interviewed and re-interviewed because people are interested in how they survived. The survivors from the earthquake and tsunami in Japan have their own stories.

These are all extreme survival situations. We tend to overlook the everyday survival situations. This book is dedicated to those people who survive the job search process. It can be a devastating ordeal which questions your personal value. (By the way, not all survive.)
