She then developed a curriculum of four classes for these students, whereby many graduated that would certainly have slipped through the cracks without this program. Life Coach 101 - Wee Dilts
Introduction
Life coaching is a billion plus industry so there must be a need and certainly a desire for help in living life.
IF you’re hiring someone to assist you with personal development. You could pay a few hundred to a few thousand for this service or you could easily learn to do your own life coaching and save the money.
I am certainly not opposed to help for personal growth. My background is teaching, counseling and psychology. I have years of experience helping others through classes, individual counseling, group counseling, and self help Ecourse and Ebooks. So I’m not anti help. I’m just proposing that when all the hype and dust settles. Change and growth always come from the person in the mirror.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world
– Gandhi
Life coaching as an industry is not well regulated so you could be hiring a coach with no qualifications.
Obviously you’re wanting to make some life changes or you wouldn’t be reading this.
So what I’m saying is why not latch onto the next ten days. Ten days, Ten Life Coach lessons and make your life what you want.
Why not give it a try. You can always quit.
But you won’t want to.
I’ll warn you we are going to talk about God, Higher Power, Universal Power and things like that. Don’t get all bent out of shape. Open you mind. If you knew everything, you wouldn’t be considering life coaching.
So with an open mind lets wade in.
In AA they tell us to come to believe in a power greater than yourself, surely you can go that far. That’s all you have to do, for now, accept that there must be a power in the universe that is greater then you.
So Coach
, get your clipboard and your whistle, suit up and take on the rest of your life.
It’s best to do one day at a time. Don’t rush.
There are no rules but the Life Coach 101 program works best if you complete one day at a time, in the order they are written.
Preferably ten straight days.
If you must do it differently, feel free. It is your life. You’re the coach.
First Five days
1. Day One - Decide to change.
Before change can occur, you must decide to change. Day one will take you through the exercises to assist you in making that decision. Easy Simple and yet so few do it. Make a decision to change - That’s all you do day one.
2. Day two - Begin.
Yep, you take your first baby step into the life of being your own life coach. These are exercises to get you through your first wobbly step; most of us don’t remember learning how to walk. But it was unsteady and a little scary. Our step by step Ebook will take the fear out of changing and get you toddling off in no time. That’s it for day two. You begin.
3. Day three - Visualize
Visualization is a major part of the Life Coach training. You have to know what you want and visualization is a tool for figuring it out.
Webster defines Creative visualization as the practice of seeking to affect the outer world by changing one's thoughts and expectations.
Creative visualization is the basic technique underlying positive thinking and is frequently used by athletes to enhance their performance.
The concept originally arose in the US with the nineteenth century New Thought movement. One of the first Americans to practice the technique of creative visualization was Wallace Wattles (1860–1911), who wrote The Science of Getting Rich.
He claims visualization as the main technique for realizing one's goals. It is a practice that stems from the Hindu Monistic theory of the Universe.
Creative visualization is the technique of using one's imagination to visualize specific behaviors or events occurring in one's life. Advocates suggest creating a detailed picture of what one desires and then visualizing it over and over again with all of the senses, I.e., What do you see? What do you feel? What do you hear? What does it smell like?
