For Margaret thanks for always being there.

To my lil cousin Lissy thanks for making me smile.

We have all gazed at a starry night,

    Marveled at the far flung,

    Twinkles of light.

I will never look at them the same,

    Sounds corny but its true,

    After playing your little game,

Making shapes in a cloudless night.

You became a girl again giggling with delight.

    You know the time,

    Then we kissed.

The stars we both wished on,

    That night came through,

    With you,

    My love,

    Confirmed with that kiss.

    Despair.

"There is nothing keeping me here!

    Nothing to live for!

    No one understands my pain!"

    I keep rewinding those words,

    Repeatedly.

    No words bring comfort,

    Resolute,

    Determined,

To be free from this game,

    Nothing makes them feel better,

    Mind is set,

To find a way out of this game.

Some scoff it is a bluff,

    They won’t do it!

But, I cannot take that risk,

For when they stop speaking and go away,

If only won’t bring them back,

Or clear the guilt from doing nothing,

    Blame becomes your pain.

    Mom

    Mom,

    Just to thank you,

    For your sweetness.

For seeing beyond what I see.

    You have always been fair,

    Wisdom abundant,

Never given up believing good things, wanting them for me.

I do not perhaps say it enough,

You do mean a lot to me.

    A constant,

You could calm a stormy sea.

    You are a special mom,

    Thank you
