writing in the dark - Pandit

    Shopclues

    A game of chess,

    White and Black

    Kings and queens,

    Divide the pack.

Making a move is a must,

And it’s just you and me

Make sure that the pawns keep fighting,

The game is over if the king ceases to be.

    A pawn stood up,

    He was a fool!

    He used his wisdom,

And tried to change the rules.

He would rather make than move,

Live in peace, he had a square to use

What a fool, what a fool,

He tried to repeal the rules!

His king called him a traitor,

And his enemies threw him a bait,

But his thoughts had made him braver,

His eyes had vision and his hands his fate.

    The queen tried to pacify,

    The coronation was in danger,

All attempts were made to vilify

The pawn who no longer was a stranger.

    Frustration and Arnab at nine,

The perfect way to numb my mind

To keep all the real problems aside,

What a way for me to pass the time.

    Deafening screaming,

    Unwatchable sights,

Close your ears, close your eyes,

There is no other meditation of this kind.

The proud feeling of being proudly occupied,

I’m in the majority why should I hide,

It may be shallow and dark inside,

I’m just here to pass the time.

But wait, have I closed my eyes for too long?

Have I forgotten where I really belong?

Has the bombarding rhetorical taken over my mind?

Wasn’t I here just to pass the time?

Do I still wait for the time to turn nine?

Is this not a way to find peace of mind?

Is it true that it’s not a sin to be kind?

All this while I was stabbing an already agitated mind.

    So many lonely spaces,

The feeling of being lonely in a crowd,

He smiles and he leaves no traces,

‘Til he’s gone and no nowhere to be found.

    The silent killer

    Seeps gently into his mind,

    Slowly and like a poison,

    Makes his senses go blind.

    So many lonely spaces,

When hollow words no more fill the void,

And though the world he always blesses,

    He doesn’t anymore feel alive.

And the will to express emotions fades,

The emotions start to rot in the mind

It might take a day or many a decade,

Before he makes the final choice to hide.

    So many lonely spaces,

He wishes to go back in time,

He knows that he can’t and so he embraces,

The only truth that he can find.

    Like a bullet train

    Pours the acid rain

    On my naked brain,

    Voices that echo shame.

    As my face sweats

    And shiver do my hands,

    The crowd asks,

    If I’ve been forever damned.

    Like a piece of
