    Dedication

    In Honor of

    My Aunt Rosanna Kelly

May you be honored in heaven for your dedication to our family.  I praise God in Christ Jesus for sending me an earthly teacher, who encouraged me in the way of bible study.  You encouraged all of us in our first Bible Study and continued through sun, rain and snow to make sure we could all attend.  Thank you.

    I Love You

    Acknowledgements

I would like to first thank Almighty God, my Father, and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who by Spirit, inspiration, guidance and love the words of this book are written.  By the grace of God, I have been afforded this opportunity to share his words with others, as they have been presented to me.  I had no idea, that so many years ago, as I was encouraged to write down my studies, that I would be able to go back and pull it all together as I have now.

Secondly, to my two daughters, Tonyika and Marlena, and to my grandson, Vincent, who have faithfully supported me in all that I have done.  You are my heart and I love you dearly.

Finally, I want to acknowledge my husband, Lee, family and friends, whose love and patience has been an important part of my faith walk.

I pray for God’s blessings on this book and all who read it.

    Preface

From the beginning of time God has spoken to mankind.  It was always his will that man come to know him, the one true God and creator of all things.  He knew that as a father to a child, men needed to be taught, to be guided, and, after their disobedience, to be led in the way of what was right.  God walked with man.

God speaks to me through the scriptures, the Holy Bible, the Word.  I prefer the King James Version as that is the version I began reading.  I had heard of God early in life and one day I called upon him and he answered me.  In my sinful state, he made himself known and saved me out of many hurtful situations.  This gave me the desire to want to know him even more.

Later a beloved aunt started a bible study group, and I began serious study.  I was, and still am, in awe of the greatness of God, it was as though he was speaking to me, personally.  It was not just God’s word, but his power to affect change in my life.  As I received revelation after revelation, I began to see life as God sees it.  I could see his love through his eyes. I am always excited when I hear God speak to me, especially with revelations in the knowledge of himself, his righteous judgments, fairness and mercy.

As I read, I found that God is always right in all that he has done or will do.  I found that the voice of God, in Christ Jesus, His Word, was with him at the beginning of creation, as our voices speak for us; and that by His Word, the Alpha, the beginning, all things were created.  He is also the Omega, the end, the finisher of all things created by God.  As a means of communication, by, with, and for creation, he is the truth and the light.  In him also is life.  As God speaks, so it is done.  When he has delivered that for which he was created all will be finished, and for that He will receive a kingdom.  We will see God, and the face of his voice, Jesus Christ in his true form.  This is the sum of my understanding of God, creation, and Jesus Christ.

It was important for me, therefore, as a way of remembering what I had read or heard, to write it down.  These writings have helped me, by taking advantage of references, a bible dictionary, through prayer and the Spirit of God, to remember and to ponder upon God’s words.  Just in writing this book my heart is touched as I review the Word of God spoken to me.  If you have the ears to hear, then you know what I am talking about.  If you don’t now, God willing you will.

In the case of God Speaks, I thought, what will happen when I am gone?  All my written bible studies and notes would not benefit anyone; they probably could not be read because my handwriting is so bad.  So, I decided to type my studies and put them in a book.  Then, if anyone should pick up a copy and read it, they can hear God speak to them as he has spoken to me over the years.

    Introduction

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (John 1:1)

Knowledge and understanding of our Creator, His plan for us, and the wisdom to put this knowledge into practice, I esteem, to be the most important task for mankind in the universe.  This knowledge I have found only in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible.  Though I have sought enlightenment through many other devices: astrology, metaphysics, even other religions and icons, which are dead in themselves; only the Holy Scriptures have I and found to be true.  The more the study the more the enlightenment; through prayer and the Holy Spirit of revelation.

I have notes everywhere, many of which did not make it into this book.  I write notes as I am inspired; on anything: an envelope, a piece of paper, the back of a receipt; old mail.  You have to write it down quickly or it may be stolen (or taken) away in forgetfulness.  The words of God are very precious and not to be discarded lightly, seeing that such knowledge only comes from God.  Therefore, I have kept them organized as best I could and have gathered many of the writings together; the more focused studies I have written in journals.

Early studies reflect the specific subject of the study; for example: Holy Spirit, Yoke, Church, Persecution, and so forth, but later just the specific date of the study.  This book merges journals for a period just prior to and between 2001 and 2015, after which each year is a chapter.

The words of this book are the words of God, not my own, but from time to time, I would add notes, poetry, and other bible passages, inspired by the studies.  I have included some those here as they are moments of spiritual reflection that I want to share.  All in all, I have tried to keep things in their chronological order.

I have put all these things down in a format just as it is written in my journals, and I hope it will not be confusing to the reader; but, it is not the format that I hope will inspire you and give you encouragement and fortification of faith, but the Word of God itself, as it was laid out before me.

I encourage the reader to follow along with the Holy Bible in reading the scriptures mentioned, and if possible have a good bible dictionary handy.  Some scriptures mentioned here may be abbreviated, and punctuation could be a bit off-putting, but makes for better flow.

I hope that you will come to see our God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirt, as I see him; a loving, kind, patient, longsuffering, merciful Creator, who is righteous and fair, even to the stubborn and disobedient.

As God Speaks to my heart, so I speak to you.

    Poem:  A Mystery in Zion

Rejoice, O ye daughters of Zion

Your Savior is come, the battle is won, to establish his kingdom in Zion

O rejoice, all ye daughters of Zion

Your sins are forgiven, the evil is driven away by the strength of his power

O come, all ye daughters of Zion

Give praise and thanksgiving to our King, with smoke by day and fire by night he shall keep us from all harm

Rejoice O ye daughters of Zion

He is bringing his righteousness to those who are far and near, his sword is mighty, his word is true to all those who would hear

O praise him ye daughters of Zion

Come unto the City of Zion, the City of the living God, the place of the heavenly host, to him who created heaven and earth, the sea and the fountain of waters.

O sing all ye daughters of Zion

There is a mystery in Zion, search for it in your hearts, give glory to our King, to him we sing this song

    Note:  Wings

Wings as a means of protection and escape from harm.

God’s desire to protect his people.

Most all spirit beings have wings with which they fly

Protect – as the wings of cherubims covered the mercy seat.

God’s love has wings.  He bears us up and brings us to him.

Said that when cutting a bird, the wings should not be separated.  Wings are its protection.
