About this ebook

We choose our own path in life never knowing where it will lead. The destination, however, is always the same - true love, eternal happiness, and a life filled with unforgettable memories, where dreams soar into the sky. Of course to get there we must face bumps in the road and go through the lows to get to the highs. Join me on an unforgettable journey of life that is filled with love and heartbreak, happiness and sorrow, death, personal struggles and more. I hope that each creation, whether it is in poetic, lyrical, or prose form, will bring forth a connection to your heart and soul for we all go through the same things in life regardless of which journey we embark on or which route we take.

    ALWAYS THERE

    April 4, 2014

    They came into my life

    And then they ran

Ran as fast as they could

    Without a word

    Without a warning

    But you didn’t run

    You remain beside me

    Always there

Through the ups and the downs

Keeping me grounded and in control

    Always there through every encounter

Of those that choose to run

    SAME GUY, ANOTHER REJECTION

    October 31, 2013

    A few years ago

I met you under the starry skies

Our bodies swaying in unison to the melodies

    That penetrated the grand hall

It was as if we were the only two souls on the dance floor

    Soaring above the clouds

    Past constellations and galaxies

Deep into the heart of space

I never wanted the night to end

But the clock struck the unwanted hour

And you and I had to part forever

I never thought we’d cross paths again

But two years later we united once more

At a different time, in a different grand hall

There we were under the starry skies

The music beckoning us to the dance floor

I answered its call and got lost in the melodies

But you remained immobile for hours

And it was just me alone with the music

Finally the music took hold of you

And I noticed you walking towards the dance floor

I thought you were walking in my direction

But instead you went the other way

You chose to share the music with another soul

A soul with barely covered legs, arms, and chest

Though your time on the dance floor was brief

    I wondered what about me

What about the music we shared a few years ago

Did it vanish from your memory

Did it vanish from your heart

    Perhaps it has

Because you and I didn’t unite on the dance floor

Or get lost in the music as I’d hoped

    You said it wasn’t me

Said the music wasn’t speaking to you

    As it did back then

    But the reasons didn’t matter

I was left with an emptiness deep within

    I was torn to pieces

Just like I am torn now

Because once again we exchanged numbers

And once again you never text or call

Once again you chose to reject me

As if I am not worth your time

As if our dance and our music

    Never meant anything

CATCHING THE BOUQUET DOESN’T MEAN MARRIAGE

    October 31, 2013

They say if you catch the bouquet

You’re next in line to walk down the aisle

    Wearing a beautiful white gown

As the wedding march penetrates the room

And everyone looks on ahead in silence

As you unite forever with your one true love

    Well if that is true

How come the only aisle I walk down

    Is that of the
