Ana Nedelcu
Ana Nedelcu (pen name - LiterAnART) is a 31-year-old Romanian philologist, writer/poetess/journalist, expert in European studies and artist (eco-design and stage performance). She is keen on engaged artistic expressions (artivism) from design to stage performance, from poetry to music, from role play to painting. She believes that Society, Education and Art are telling a common story. Art is by itself an approach on social issues and educational expression.
She has been writing for 10 years and she has widely published. She made her debut in poetry in 2009 in a regional literary anthology and since then, she has published worldwide. She coordinated and designed two national anthologies, one of them being written by and dedicated to women. At local level, she initiates and coordinates creative writing workshops for youngsters and adults and she represents World Poetry Canada & International Foundation in her country of Romania.
Related to her literary insights, Ana finds herself in poetry the most prolific creatures of all, as verses are continuously flowing through her mind’s and heart’s eye. She is inspired by everything that surrounds her, from landscapes to people, from laughter to tears, from sound to touch, from the concrete to the abstract. Lately she has dedicated a lot of her lyrics to a dear figure that co-exists in her mind and her heart, a memory from the past, a desire from the present, a vibe printed to her soul, to her existence.

Give me a night as a stranger
lost in an unexpected experience
just us two
strangers in the night
no memories, no future plans
just the present and for passion.
Give me a night as a stranger…
like two strangers
never met before
no worries, constraints
sorrows, delays…
Give me a night as a stranger
promise me from the heart
to be no more
than a stranger
enjoying our presence
no limits, no regrets
no commitments, no promises
no fences…
Give me a night to heal…
no expectations, no attachments
no words, no fights
no curtains to shadow…
our lights.
Give me a night with no questions
no answers, no curiosities
no assumptions
no stories to be claimed…
and refrained.
Give me a night to heal my heart
my body to recover
from paralyzed frozen winter…
and an inner
broken printer.
Give me a night…
take your thoughts away
I promise to be good
authentic and brand new this way
let’s get totally silent
as you wish
but give me just one night
I know you want it in no fight
Let’s be just actors
on this stage of two.
will be a memorable play
with no thoughts astray
just think about it
how easy could everything be done…
and run towards such fun.
Give us a night of silence
together in the dark
let’s play this scene
detectives to be seen
like no other professionals
let’s get onto this job well
secretly creatures
we’ll write a novel in advance
on how we recovered
from an unspoken night...
easily bewildered
and wrongly right.
Give us one night in conspiracy
Let’s make a pact no one knows about
silently we withdraw
you and me beyond that door
what do you say
of this marvelous I obey
?
can you act this role
to be remembered
in history’s fall?
Tomorrow we’ll remain two strangers
like we said we would
remains of the night
gone on our separate mood
and we’ll all be good.
with an amount of healing left
we’ll be happy and at rest.
I know you’ve been playing
a few roles
you like getting your characters
pretty done for their goals
I’m offering you a new one
don’t say "no’’
let’s game it on!
It’s just a role from which
we can both grow.
They say playfulness is the key
let’s unlock this box
with the right key
play the roles and ease…
both directors of these scenes
short story we’ll write it afterwards
just for us to know
all the dissections
let’s make it even mute
I said no words needed
just us playing…a role
In that
