I’d like to thank James L. Finley - also a published author with his debut poetry book Wandering Wounds - for taking the time to help me proofread and edit this book. Your tremendous help is greatly appreciated and I am thrilled that you took part in bringing this book to life.
Dedication
I dedicate this book to all those who have ever been in love, all those who have yet to experience its ups and downs, and all those who have found themselves having a crush on that special someone.
Introduction
Greetings to all you love birds out there. My name is LoveBug, and I am here to spread the different seeds of love all around. I sit here under a shady tree in the park and let my pen leave its mark on the empty pages of my diary. I pour out my soul about crushes, guys, relationships, love, heartbreak, and more. So sit back and get ready to dive into the garden of love that is Diary of a Crush.
SECTION I - VERSES OF A CRUSH
BEING WITHOUT YOU
October 22, 2007
As minutes slowly drag the time,
My heart is empty with longing,
Yearning for your words,
For your voice,
For your closeness,
And perhaps for your touch.
Being without your presence,
In whatever way possible,
Is pure torture,
Enveloping me in sorrow,
And bringing with it,
Endless salty tears,
That cloud my beautiful face.
You are always on my mind,
And there in my beating heart,
That bursts with love,
And craves for your soul.
Without you I am drowning,
And only you can save me,
So wherever you are,
Come and rescue me away.
Let me know of your existence,
And your presence in mine,
Otherwise, I might not see tomorrow.
TWO ANGELS AND THE MAGIC OF LOVE
November 22, 2007
As I stand here in the shower,
The water trickling down my slender frame,
I feel the cool drops
Refreshing every inch of my naked flesh.
I feel your fingers gliding down my body,
Tingling me from head to toe.
I feel your lips brush against mine,
Ever so gently,
Locking with my own,
And never letting them part,
The kisses sending shivers down my spine.
I feel your warm embrace surround me,
With the love that burns from within.
I feel your presence right here in the shower,
As we melt away under the liquid drops,
You and I caught in this passionate moment,
Transporting us into a heavenly paradise,
Where time comes to a standstill,
And there is nothing but you and I,
Two angels caught in the magic of love,
That will never fade with time’s passing,
And will only continue to flame and
