Pieces of Me - Lena Kovadlo
AUTHOR:
Nature’s Love
Poetry dedicated to Mother Nature…
Let Mother Nature
Surround you with beauty
As it sings the melodious
Romance of love
Another Tomorrow
(July 2, 2007)
Nothing but the blinding light
Of the moon’s mysterious glow
Surrounds me on this darkened empty night
Nothing but the deafening silence
Of Nature’s sleeping beauty
That protects me inside these walls
As I try to drift into fantasy
Where reality escapes me
And all is lost for the moment
Nothing but the yearning
To catch a glimpse
Of the sun’s radiant rays
The birds’ chirping melodies
All has died around me
And so have I for the time being
Till the moon releases its armor
And allows the sun to take its place
Till life is breathed once more
Into Mother Nature’s creations
And the awakening of another tomorrow
Embrace
(June 28, 2007)
The embrace of the moon, the sea, and the sun
Is so deathly cold, yet comforting
A welcoming embrace that surrounds us
With its mysterious darkened beauty
That sparkles to us in the night
And engraves a painted memory
An everlasting imprint of Mother Nature
Onto our dancing roller coaster hearts
Motionless Night
(2004)
The moon lights the ocean
In pools of white
The waves lack commotion
Everything bright
The air dances softly
The wind seized in flight
A painted picture
Of a motionless night
Boardwalk Stroll
(April 27, 2006)
I stroll behind the shadow
The radiance of the moon
The memories are flying
I find myself soaring
Through the tranquil sky
On this starry night
The waves are singing out to me
The tickling wind caressing me
And I am trapped in ecstasy
I’m swimming in the memories
Of hands intertwined
Of voices aligned
Of leisurely times
The Wonder Of The Moon
(May 11, 2006)
Radiant ball of silvery light
Hangs in the darkness of night
Amidst glowing white dots
Illuminating the sleeping waters
With stretching shadowy rays
Of life’s dreaming orbs
The Sweetest Of Roses
(August 7, 2007)
The sweetest of roses
In the garden of love
Is a sight to behold
With its everlasting presence
Its graceful beauty
And its luscious aroma
Wrapping you in its passionate embrace
Childhood Calling
(May 30, 2007)
She enters the woods
On this glorious day
Overjoyed is her mood
As she’s running away
In hopes to vanish
Amidst trees so dense
And explore the wonder
Of this great expanse
She yearns to release
Hidden child inside
That craves to escape
And embark on this ride
Of adventures and glories
Of careless fun
Letting go of the worries
To nowhere run
Explore new horizons
Uncover new treasures
And savor each moment
For lifetime of pleasures
Her childhood’s calling
With outstretched arms
She’s ready and willing
To take on the fun
Now lost in the woods
She has set herself free
A child once more
Overjoyed and carefree
Crying Out
(April 2006)
Crying out into nothingness
Hoping a soul would hear my happiness
But I’m surrounded only by green
And all of Mother Nature in between
Yet it’s enough for me to feel the love
Nothing’s more beautiful than God above
Awakening
(Spring 2006)
The clock buzzes in the silence of the still morning
The faint melodic chirp of the birds awakens
The lazy eyes peacefully dreaming
Early Morning
(2005)
Birds singing softly the melody of life
As ears are glued to the dancing notes
A lazy awakening of sleepy heads
Lost In The Moment
(Spring 2005)
Soft whisper in the wind
The day of hidden clouds
A moment of emptied thoughts
Just the weightless flow of tranquility
Time
(Spring 2004)
Not one rustling leaf,
Or children running like ants,
Time sat on a PAUSE.
No Breath Of Life
(Winter 2004)
Champagne bubbles sparkle in the sun
Inside a lonely crystal glass
No luscious lips brushing against the one
No slender fingers that caress
The fragile foot that’s standing tall
Against the sleeping trees
The playful shadow on the wall
That lazy eyes won’t miss
A hanging cigarette, its laughing smoke
Trapping the air in flight
But no one’s there to hear it talk
No breath of life in sight
Passing Of The Day
(Spring 2005)
The stillness of an arriving evening
With the departure of the tired sun
The whistling of leaves, their trees undressing
To go to sleep until the morning power’s on
The quiet wind that settles over yawning homes
And slips into the cracks of opened windows
The darkness that with impatience roams
Waiting to start its rerun of the evening shows
The lazy day now hides behind curtains
And waits till night goes down the road
Tis only then will the sun’s face be open
And all around us will brightly explode
Meltdown
(April 25, 2006)
I lay beneath the willow tree
The sunny rays above
My mind drifts to ecstasy
I’m trapped in nature’s love
The wind flows lightly under skin
My hair caught in flight
A total meltdown from within
A lazy carefree sight
Night Snow
(December 2005)
The sky is shedding tears of white
Upon the bare roads and trees
Weaving a carpet in the night
That’s slowly blowing in the breeze
The diamond flakes sparkle with light
Crafting a dazzling delight
Winter’s Night
(2004)
Drops of milk fall from the sky
Blanketing the streets with white.
With stomping feet the droplets fly
Around the sidewalk in the night.
The glistening lights ignite a spark,
All seen by eyes is glowing bright.
The dancing shadows stir the dark,
A winter’s night—what a delight.
The Snow Cycle
(Spring 2005)
Dropping like a feather from
