LOVE
Dear Reader:
Love has the power to push through any sickness, disaster, or impossible feat. Having the power to hold true to the end allows it to begin again after that. As it circles around, it never allows you to just go through the motions when it’s sincere.
Love is infinite and eternal, just as the trips are around the sun.
It reminds us of the good that is left in the world. Love has a way of wrapping us around its finger, having your nose wide open to hypnotizing smells dragging us throughout the hazy golden eyesight of flowery fields as time seems to slow down enough for one to enjoy everything in the moment.
ATTACHING FEELING
Love and attachment
Something I never expected to happen
It’s that which sparkles
In its glory,
Gently holding me in their arms,
Blinding the danger
Allowing me to see the beauty and potential
In the fullness of my eyesight
Day to day
I am able to convey
Residing feelings
That I’ve housed for you
I find myself in a fit
Where I am nothing short of happiness
Having total support
Something of this world
You, my favorite version of comfort
LOVE MAKES YOUR SOUL CRAWL OUT FROM ITS HIDING PLACE.
- ZORA NEALE HURSTON
Love led me out of the darkness that covered my life. I felt liberated, coming out of a jungle that haunted my night’s sleep. I would find myself screaming in anguish and pain over the loneliness that consumed my day and crept over me during the night. The agony of feeling as if there was no one for me made living, more than life, coarse.
Finally, coming out of this jungle, I came into the lights of soft tones, causing my skin to glow.
FLOWER PETALS IN THE WIND
I felt lifted into the wind
Realizing we are petals
Blooming together on seasonal flowers
We don’t wilt
But we are moved
Through the wind to various places
Reattaching ourselves,
And meeting again
Reincarnated in form and fashion
Just like freedom
Flying away like the prettiest bird
We conjoin and brush against
The moods of the day that switch
Our colors
On our canvases that were splashed
With the pollen that grew us so nicely
In the sunshine
Of the day in March
We grow together to grow apart
Independently interdependent
On each other,
Plucked and picked together
As chords on a guitar
Giving us room
To dance, to the tune of sweet songs
You,
Entertain me, chill me
Like the breeze
That blew us apart
As we remained together
Our flower petals never withered
Blowing along with the wind
To reach our destination
Together
WHAT IS LOVE
Personified is it so much, that it shows itself in its true form to us each day, while most of us fail to realize it.
We run away from it, scared because it is something new, and something never experienced. Speaking for itself through actions, it presents itself in the tiniest of ways, which have the grandest effect on our personalities and mentality.
Whether it shows itself in touch and bond, or looks and conversation, it takes a special instance for someone to grasp those feelings for someone else. Once it happens, it’s as if rugged ground becomes clouds. The extremely harsh conditions become survivable, because you find joy in living and caring for not only yourself, but someone else as well.
A GENTLE SMILE AND WARM TOUCH
Love is
The kind look
That I’m able to find in your eyes
The mysterious adventure,
Not perfect, nor fine
That lasts one hundred lifetimes
Never falling, but walking
Into life, while unexpectedly
Melting the pain away
With trust and warmth
Suddenly is nice
The gentle smile,
With your warm embrace
I know that I can lean on you,
As you follow me, you become my shadow
Never leaving my side
It needs no voice
Because it is spoken for itself
Through actions, affection
Looks and sounds
But nothing describes it better
Than the gentle smile
And warm touch
