The Boy From Sable Street

Across the month of August and September 2013, artist/writer Brian L. Ragsdale wrote a series of prose and poetry. Themes of the poems emerge from daily experiences, wanderings, musings, and childhood memories.

Brian L. Ragsdale

I am a visual artist, writer, self-taught musician (piano), and former psychotherapist. I live in Newport, Nh with my partner of 21 years, Mark, and our newly adopted dog, Sammie. I have a masters and doctorate in clinical psychology and have some scholarly publications. I work as a college administrator for Walden University. I am African American and gay, and believe that identities are not peripheral elements of our humanness, and like other life experiences, they too play a role in our becoming.
