About this ebook

One bad choice after another resulting in a rock bottom moment that led you to God and your salvation. The honest reflection of your life as you ask God for forgiveness. A weight lifted. The feeling of a new beginning. Now, what if you had the opportunity and share the lessons you have learned? To hopefully stop others from making the same mistakes you made. That is what I wanted for my grandchildren.

    Dedication

To Danielle, Denver, Susie, and Elizabeth.

First and foremost, you need to know I love you. Although we may not spend as much time together as we would like, you are never away from my thoughts and prayers.

This book is also dedicated to those who will say, I know you. This spiritual journey is just another undertaking in which you will become bored with once you figure it all out, or those who will say, I know you. I know what you were like. I watched your behavior, I witnessed your arrogance, I know true change isn’t possible for you. I know you.

To you, I say, I am a man who has admitted he is not perfect; a man who has taken a personal inventory, and is willing to work on his flaws and shortcomings – as plentiful as they are. I am a man who knows he has made poor decisions, hurt those closest to him, and has created chaos for those that have casually crossed his path.

To you, I say, I am unapologetic about my faith, for this is not my first attempt at a relationship with God. It is, however, a renewed relationship Him after having turned and all but ran in the opposite direction from Him. A direction which led me to know that my life without Him is not as special as my life with Him.

I no longer rely on my finite self, but rather, have faith in my infinite Creator. In doing so, I humbly submit to His will, and look forward to showing others what He can do using me as an example of His salvation and grace.

To you, I fully acknowledge you knew me then. I openly invite you to know me now.
