Acknowledgments
This book is a result of self-work and appreciation of who God made me to be. Understanding who you are and who God made you to be is a journey that starts within yourself. Life brings situations that force you to look in the mirror, not for self-destruction, but for self-discovery. On this journey, there were some amazing people that helped me discover myself.
I thank God for being patient with me and helping me to see me. I thank Him for every gift that He has given me. I appreciate every lesson that resulted in a blessing in some way. Thank you for making me better.
To my family, my mom (Mary), dad (Marvin), and sister (Markesha): thank you for holding me accountable. Being accountable to you made me more accountable to who God called me to be. Thank you for loving me and giving me balance. I love you!
My Pastors, Bishop R.J. and Patricia Burt: I appreciate your humble spirit and the calling on your lives.
Thank you for teaching the Word so that I may think differently and be better.
My Sister Circle: I appreciate every sister in my life who has encouraged me to go higher and be great. Thank you for the moments of truth and the support you each gave me.
Tamika, my writing coach: I appreciate your commitment to seeing me finish this book and the relationship we have built through the process. Thank you for your gift and your courage to help me share mine.

We feel the need to live like others and to do what others do, trying to find ourselves in other people. How many times have you wanted something someone else had or wanted to look like them? And how many times, have you looked to others to validate you?
I can think of many situations in which I drowned in the uncertainty
