One: I need to emphasize the importance of leaving your doubts at the door and going through this process with an open heart and mind. As commonly stated, The mind is like a parachute; it only works when it’s open.

Two: What you will soon read are words of truth that were sent to reignite the slumbering core of your heart. This is because words have power, but ultimately, taking action on those words will be the quintessential key to unlocking your eternal potential.

Three: This shouldn’t be confused with a get rich pursuit. I respect the hustle, but this is more than that. We can’t buy into this or fake it until we make it. This is about achieving an inner wealth that will position you to walk in the purpose you were created for.

Four: You’re not alone. We all have areas of our lives that seem to be in a deep slumber, and chanting, Stay woke, hasn’t made much of a difference. But that’s okay because whether it’s an emotional, relational, financial, mental, physical, environmental, or spiritual struggle, the resources in the eternal realm are limitless and ready to turn your struggle into a strength. Not only will your life improve, but the lives around you will improve as well. So, take this seriously. Today, choose to use your creative DNA to agree with the eternal plan for your life and watch and see the abundance that unfolds in you, through you, and before you.

Five: If you’ve been turned off by Jesus or God because of people who’ve promoted hatred in their name, I don’t blame you. However, I would still encourage you to learn about Jesus on your own. It may surprise you to find out that He wasn’t religious; He knew how to deal with haters effectively. He had a kind nature, and He was the realest truth-teller to ever live.

Introduction

This volume is a guide for anyone – both male and female – who is tired of existing in a life that doesn’t resemble the greatness they know they were made to live. If that applies to you, you’re in the right place at the right time. I believe God sent you here to uncover the eternal value you possess NOW so that you can become the courageous leader our world desperately needs you to be.

I want to be upfront before we start – the life you desire is real and accessible, but as you know, anything worth having doesn’t come easy. This means you, my friend, will have to work hard to give up all the things that work overtime to hold you back. You may be thinking to yourself, Who wouldn’t give up something that’s hindering them? No offense, but I can confidently say the answer to that question is you, and to avoid hypocrisy, the answer is also me. If we’re honest, we know we’ve both held onto things that meant us no good longer than we should have. Whether those things were bad habits, bad relationships, bad emotions, bad thoughts, or a bad obsession with needing attention – and oh boy, haven’t we all met someone who needed to let that go! The point is that as bad as these areas may have been or currently may be, we sometimes don’t notice because our senses have adjusted to this dysfunction and eventually transpose an abnormality into normality. We’ve trained ourselves to do and want the wrong things. The result is a blind spot, which leaves us dangerously operating this powerful vehicle called life and accidentally harming ourselves and others along the way. This can also be referred to as a plank in your eye (Matthew 7:3–4).

This is just one of the many reasons why it’s vital to have a genuine community. We rarely recognize our blind spots, so having trustworthy people around whose strengths are your areas of weakness can prevent you from experiencing unnecessary catastrophes.

Now more than ever is the time to gather your community and create a safe place for growth. What’s ahead is going to require a team of people who want to see you win with grace and dignity. These people won’t cosign on your excuses, compromises, or self-defeat. They love you as you are, but they also tell it like it is to keep you from making a monument of lies in your life. I call these people truth-tellers, and the best way to enrich your life with this rare breed of people is to first become one. So, in each chapter, we will cover some key traits learned from the experience of the most celebrated (and sometimes hated) truth-teller who has ever lived. Following each eternal insight, there will be a brief opportunity for reflection to ensure it sinks in, because we become what we think, and now it’s time to think like a world-changing influencer.
