Introduction

This book is a comprehensive training manual for Level Two of Usui Reiki Ryoho (pronounced Uw-Sou-E Ray-Key Ro-Ho). Usui Reiki Ryoho is the traditional form of Reiki based upon the original teachings of Master Mikao Usui (pronounced Me-Cow Uw-Sou-E). This variation of healing and its methodologies are the foundational teachings for the majority of the other types of Reiki.

The prerequisite for this instruction is the successful completion of the Level One Usui Reiki Ryoho course. This previous training included a first level attunement; general background and information on traditional Reiki methodologies; and instructions on how to perform simple hands on Reiki sessions (including self healings). In this text, it is assumed that the previous attunement and knowledge requirements of the introductory level have been fulfilled.

Included with this text is the second level attunement which includes two additional types of Reiki healing energies. Intended as a refresher, some basic background information is provided. However, the majority of the course material investigates advanced Reiki techniques such as in depth hands on sessions, advanced self healing techniques, distant healing methods, the charging of inanimate objects, and cleansing of physical spaces.

This book is intended to serve as an intermediate training method for the traditional form of Reiki, Usui Reiki Ryoho. This text will not explore advanced topics such as scanning, chakra balancing, healing sessions using symbols, and aura surgery. In depth study of these and other more intricate aspects will be explored in the Usui Reiki Ryoho Level Three course.

Moreover, the reading of this text will not give you the student the ability or the credibility to teach others how to do Reiki. The skills and experience needed to reach this level of achievement can be gained through successful completion of all four Usui Reiki Ryoho courses. Usui Reiki Ryoho Level Four is the actual Master Level Course.
