About this ebook
Many books exist with helpful information about learning the relaxing, healing art of practicing Reiki. What makes Reiki II: Expanding Your Skills stand out is that it pulls together from many different sources a vast amount of information about Reiki that is helpful for anyone, whether they are thinking of learning more about Reiki or have practiced it for a long time.
The book includes information about the differences between a Reiki I and Reiki II attunement, the emotional and mental cleanses that can be involved in each, detailed comments about dietary considerations and recommended behaviors in the days leading up to an attunement, and information about the meridians that carry energy through our body. It also covers what some experts have discovered about how energy, similar in many ways to Reiki, can have a healing effect on us. It includes pictures of the three Reiki II symbols and how to draw them as well as some uses for each symbol. There is an aura bath recipe and suggestions about using Reiki to help trees, rivers, mountains, and other parts of nature. One chapter discusses how much to charge clients if you become a Reiki practitioner. An appendix presents basic information about how to use the tapping technique called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to enhance your Reiki work.
There are so many details about Reiki to learn and remember. This book will give you important information in an easy-to-read writing style. It is a valuable reference book for anyone studying or practicing Reiki. However, it is not a substitute for a Reiki II attunement. To get that attunement, you must attend a Reiki II workshop and receive an attunement given by a Reiki Master.

DISCLAIMER
This book is based on many years of experience giving Reiki treatments to myself and others and on a great deal of research I’ve done about Reiki and related subjects.
I have done my best to provide all the information you will need to understand what Reiki is and how to practice it once you have received Reiki II training from a Reiki Master in person.
Although it’s very likely that if you learn this information and receive a Reiki II attunement, you can practice Reiki successfully, I’m not responsible if it doesn’t work for you. However, I can’t imagine it not working if you learn the information, follow all the directions and receive a Reiki II attunement from a Reiki Master in person.
I do not have a medical background. What I have written about regarding how Reiki works with the physical body is based on my understanding of what knowledgeable people have written in many books, magazine articles and in other formats as well as from my own experience as a Reiki Master. If there are any mistakes, they are a result of my misunderstandings.
Reiki is not meant to be a replacement for medical care but, rather, a supplement to it. I suggest that if you have any medical concerns, you discuss them with your doctor before you try Reiki.

INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Reiki II: Expanding Your Skills. This is a big step in your Reiki life. Once you receive the Reiki II attunement in person from a Reiki Master, four times the amount of healing energy will flow through your body. It will help you relax into a more restful, peaceful state. Your body’s remarkable healing system will get a boost so it can function even better, and your body, mind and spirit will work together more efficiently.
This exploration of Reiki II is not meant as a substitute for physically attending a workshop taught by a Reiki Master. It is meant to acquaint you with information you’ll need to know so that you will be more comfortable and less stressed when you do take an in-person workshop. Everything you need to know is right here, so if you forget something you’ll know where to go to find it.
Once you receive the Reiki II attunement, you will have the use of three amazing symbols to enhance your healing work. My goal is for this book to help you feel more prepared to receive the Reiki II attunement.
CHAPTER 1
WHAT REIKI ATTUNEMENTS ARE
Reiki is passed in person from teacher to student through a series of attunements. It is a process unique to Reiki. The energy transmitted from the teacher flows into the top of the pupil’s head, travels through the body and out of the student’s hands. It reawakens the knowing within students that they have always been connected with Reiki energy and the unconditional love from which it flows. After each attunement, people need time to get used to the higher energy frequency at which their bodies are now vibrating. They also need time to adjust to the cleansing process that occurs on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels, depending on which attunement you receive.
After the Reiki I attunement, it’s not unusual for students to develop cold or flu symptoms without feeling very sick, to
