Christ who is the head over all principalities and powers has issued a divine authority to the Church . When you stand in the name of Jesus, you’re standing on the integrity and authority of Jesus Christ. In all that He is and everything that He has. Whatever obeys Him must obey you! The term of this authority states that even the smallest of us has the same delegated control over the strongest of demons. Our spiritual rank in Christ is far above principalities and powers of darkness. We’re in the exalted position, and the devil belongs under our feet.

      CHAPTER 1: SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY

      When I was in primary school, our house was beside the main road. And, I loved to count the cars that drove by. Usually, when I go to school in the morning, I used to get amazed at how the traffic warden stops big cars with just his hand raised. I would consider the size of some of the big trucks and wonder how this one man would stop them with just his hand raised for us to cross the road. The funniest part of it was that he was a very short man.

      Over the years, I have come to realize that it wasn’t the man that the drivers obeyed but the authority backing him. You see, that man didn’t have the physical power, might or force required to stop all those vehicles, but he had the authority or delegated control. Authority is stronger than power. Power is the ability or force to do something. Authority is the legal or delegated right to do something. The person who has authority can control the one who has power.  You cannot have power over authority, but you can have
