PREFACE

Supernatural experiences are frequent with me. The Lord visited me for the first time in mama’s little room when I was five. He has opened my eyes to begin to see things in the spiritual realm since on that day.

The Holy Spirit is not the only spirit over there in the realm of the spirits. There are other spirits as well. Some are holy and some unholy, some good and others evil. It is the Word of God that can equip us to be able to tell the difference.

Prophetic experiences are not always self-explanatory. But, as we sit with the Word and the Spirit, we will be able to tell the difference. It will require the constant use of our spiritual senses, to mature in discernment (Hebrews 5:13-14).

There are angels, the forces of God and of the saints in the light. These worship Him with us and protect us from all evil. They do not accept human worship. In fact, we can clearly see one forbidding John from worshiping him; And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" (Revelation 19:10). Angels minister for us and bring answers to our prayers today (Hebrews 1:13-14).

There are also demons, the servants of Satan and ministers of unholy powers. They’re the brain behind all the evil in the world, influencing people and possessing them to turn things against God and the saints.

Satan is angry that he lost his place and will do all within his power to turn humanity against God. He works tirelessly with all the angels that fell with him. They are behind all deceptions, the occult, magic, false supernatural, and lying wonders.  They even accept worship and sacrifices from deceived people; Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons (1Corinthias 10:20). Demons do for Satan what angels do for God.

However, thanks be unto God that we have victory over all the forces of hell, through Christ Jesus. There are many more angels than demons and they are all on our side. Those who are with us are more than those that are against us!

You see, we live in the last of the last days. And, just as there is an outpouring of the Holy Spirit like never before, there are also increasing demonic activities. The prophet Joel prophesied that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the last days will increase prophetic experiences. It will multiply dreams, visions, and prophecies; And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days (Joel 2:28-29).

Many are having prophetic encounters. Some are seeing angels, others are seeing demons. And, there are those who are seeing both and even the Lord and the glory of heaven. We shouldn’t be forbidding or discarding supernatural testimonies. It is better to use sound doctrine to establish the truth and differentiate it from deception.

We never read of believers going to deliverance meetings to be set free from demons in the book of Acts. Unfortunately, we cannot deny that, looking at the modern Church. It is easy to think of being under demonic harassment before coming to Christ. But, the moment you come to Christ, you're free. Whoever the Son sets free is free in reality (John 8:36). We see demon influenced and oppressed Christians today because of spiritual ignorance. You shall know the truth and it shall set you free. The knowledge of the truth breaks free from all demonic harassment.  If you don't know who you are in Christ and what authority you have in Him, you will spend your entire life trying to run from Satan and demonic manifestations.

There's enough authority in the name of Jesus to nail the strongest demon in hell!

You will be inspired from practical life examples and the testimonies of victories over demonic oppression. The authority that we have in the Name of Jesus over all the works of the enemy will come alive in your heart afresh like never before.

CHAPTER 1: THE ORIGIN AND NATURE OF ANGELS

Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven -Mathew 18: 10.

In the above text, Jesus made a very striking statement. He wouldn’t let anyone despise the little children because their angels always see the face of the Father in heaven.

Now, this shows that all children have angels that guard them through life. That’s very important because of how a child cannot really tell danger and could be so vulnerable without guards.

Angels travel with unbelievable speed between heaven and earth. This is why they’re said to behold the Father’s face in heaven always.

Angels do not have to leave the Father’s presence permanently to guard those on earth. The brightness that appears with them is the glory of His presence. They’re radiant from beholding the Father who dwells in unapproachable light (1Timothy 6:15-16; Acts 12:7).

Should they abandon that presence, the glory will eventually fade. Hence, they must return from time to time. What sustains them is the glory of His presence. That is why they shine.

Angels are as fast as the speed of light. The creatures themselves darted back and forth with the speed of lightning (Ezekiel 1:14 GNB).

Now, Jesus didn’t say that children lose their angels just because they grow up. Thus, it is sure that the angels remain to guard us as adults.

THE CREATION OF ANGELS

Both the Hebrew and Greek words translated as angels means messenger. The Scripture speaks concerning the creation of angels. As such, we know that they have not existed for all eternity. There was a specific time in history when God decided to create them.

A careful study of the Word reveals that God must have created the angels shortly after creating the heavens, but not after creating the earth. This is because the angels were already in existence when the earth was created. Job 38:4-7, referring to them as the sons of God declares that they shouted for joy when God laid the foundations of the earth.

Nehemiah 9:6, says that God created the angels, and Psalm 148 verses 2 and 5 takes it further, revealing that He created them by commanding them into being. Colossians 1:16-17 explains that all things, including the angels, were created by Christ the Word of God.

Genesis 2:1, says that the heavens and all the host of them were completed by God. He created everything. Angels are heavenly hosts, created as eternal beings to live forever. They will never die (Luke 20:36; Revelation 4:8).
