About this ebook

God doesn’t expect us to gobble everything that comes in the form of a prophetic word. We're instructed to thoroughly evaluate what is said before accepting it. False prophets can exploit God’s people if allowed. True discernment is the ability to differentiate between God and “almost God”. We're commanded not to quench the Spirit or treat prophecy with contempt, but to test or prove all things and hold fast to what is good (1Thess. 5:19-21). We must be able to separate the genuine from the counterfeit. It is just as dangerous to reject a true prophecy as it is to embrace a false one. This book will help you to tell the difference.

• Why judge prophecy?
• Overcoming deception
• How to judge prophecy
• How to avoidprophetic snares
• New Testament prophecy
• Ministering and receiving prophecy And so much more!

CHAPTER ONE: THE PARABLE OF TWO PROPHETS

There was a young prophet in the Bible whose story holds a lot of lessons for us today. The account is recorded in 1Kings 13. This man of God came from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord. He spoke by prophecy to King Jeroboam, by the altar.

Jeroboam wasn't walking in God's counsel. This prophet even told him a sign from the Lord that would happen. He said the altar will split apart, and the ashes on it will pour out, and it was so.
