I remember when I was a new believer, just coming out from Islam to the wonderful knowledge of Christ. It was the first time I was studying the Bible with such hunger and thirst. Then I was perplexed by such great discrepancy between what I read in the Word of God and what I saw in the Body of Christ. Back then, unfortunately, I was not exposed to any eye-opening teachings as Apostle Demontae Edmonds has poured into us in this book. It took me many years and hard work to find out such powerful truths and revelations.

Introduction

Several years ago, I received a prophetic word that said, God will have you to write many books. Many of the books that you write will be revelations that you receive from supernatural encounters and experiences with God. When I received the prophetic word, I believed that God would indeed have me writing books. I wasn’t certain that they would be the result of supernatural revelation. As I began to write this book, I realized that both The Supernatural Gift of Faith: Unlocking New Realms of Prophetic Power and my other book Discerning of Spirits: 7 Dimensions of Revelation were the result of a personal visitation from the Lord Jesus Christ.

There has been a growing desire to comprehend in greater depths the workings of the Holy Spirit. This has been in response to a divine desire that God has deposited within the hearts of believers in our age and time. Also, many have a strong desire to operate in more of a full manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. More power, more miracles, and more love are needed to win this generation. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are instruments by which the Lord reveals Himself to both the saved and unsaved alike.

In this book, the terms gift of faith, the gift of special faith, and the gift of supernatural faith are all used interchangeably to refer to the same spiritual gift of faith mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:9. As you read each chapter, you will understand how the gift is both special and supernatural in nature.

God is raising up believers who will authentically operate in the supernatural through the Holy Spirit. Understanding the gift of faith is vital to demonstrate the power of God. As you read this book, arise as God’s son or daughter, who was made to reveal the reality that Jesus is still alive!

What Jesus Revealed to Me

The gift of faith is one of the most exciting of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. Also, it is one of the least frequently manifested. Prayerfully as you read this book, your appetite for this gift to function in your life, in the Body of Christ, and hunger for God will be increased. In this chapter, I will share great news for all believers.

An On-Time Word

When my wife was pregnant with our first child, there was great excitement. My wife desired a natural birth without drugs or any surgery. Unfortunately, she experienced a Cesarean surgery (C-section), which caused her discomfort and lessened her mobility for weeks to come. It took her almost a year to fully heal from the surgery. During the next pregnancy, my wife was highly determined not to have another C-section and another long recovery. She was adamant that she would use her faith and the Word of God to have a natural birth.

A little over a year, my wife was pregnant again, and she was exercising her faith for a natural birth. One day I received a phone call from my dear friend and fellow minister Dr. Joseph Martin.
