    Angel Trouble

Angels are interesting creatures. There are legions of them (millions). They are called the host of Heaven. In the book of Job the English translation has God calling them Morning stars and sons of God. Like Adam they were all special creations but they do not die. They have no flesh and bones but are spirits. Angel means messenger. It has been recorded that angels sometimes appear to look human and can speak, eat, fight and do work. Two angels accompanying the Lord when he visited Abraham ate the food Sara had prepared. These two then walked into Sodom to rescue Lot and his family. The townspeople wanted to have sex with these angels that looked like men, but the angels blinded the crowd at the door. An angel spoke to Mary and then to Joseph about the birth of Jesus. Another spoke to the women at the tomb of Jesus. Both Daniel and John were told about the future by angels. Others strengthened Jesus after his wilderness experience. Another let Peter out of prison. One single-handedly rolled the huge stone away from the tomb of Jesus. In Hebrews 1 it says angels are all ministering spirits to those who will inherit salvation. That’s reassuring because one angel slaughtered 185,000 Assyrians. Another (or the same one) killed all the first-born of Egypt. And these are generally considered to be the obedient good angels.

There is another set of angels that chose to be disobedient. With their leader Haylel, translated in Latin
