About this ebook

Have you ever had someone mention the Nephilim? And it left you with a ton of questions? Well, this book answers those age-old questions about the giants of the Bible; and gives the reader a look behind the veil of mystery and deceit. We discuss a Giant Lie and a Giant Truth, Flat-Earth, UFO's, Time-Travel, and much more!

It might surprise you that our primary reference for these topics will be the Bible! Scriptures do hold the key to these Gargantuan humans from our past, but they also give us a peek at our ultimate future! Ours is to discover a future/past outside our time and space; that is relevant in answering the very prayers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I understand how fiction sells three to one, so if our studies, reference guides, or casual late-night reading; has the Nephilim as some hybrid spawn of fallen angels; we are reading pure fiction! I am not against fantasy; in fact, it is pretty entertaining, however; on this topic, it is where Mythology and Theology collide!

This book's primary source material is the KJV Bible and its historical collaborative manuscripts; any extra-biblical Pseudepigrapha citation is merely for comparative reference. The Bible is the greatest historical document we hold in our hands, archeologically sound, and dating back to pre-historic times; why would we consider anything of questionable dating and authorship?

Considering such a great historical document, and the decades it has taken me to see it's unquestionable clarity and congruency; this revelation was starring me in the face the whole time! "Hiding in plain sight" if you will, or rather hiding in plain Hebrew!

Just a handful of scripture references, and indeed one single Hebrew word, have unlocked a world of confusion and conjecture! I'll give you a hint: "A name by any other is still Shem!" I know you will find this book a refreshing new perspective.

I have invested almost 40 years as a bible student, volunteered as a church planter and minister, spending a good part of my life researching every angle of angel conspiracies. Finding most to be doctrines of demons and endless fables meant to entice and intrigue. The problem is, to this point, there hasn't been a definitive work and reference to tie-up theological "loose ends!"

We found that many renowned theologians have washed their proverbial hands of this matter and have resigned themselves to holding the status quo by quoting some others doing the same. To this point, we have all the questions; it is high time for some answers!

Until now I had yet to find a study that addresses the core discovery that this one unearths! I will give you a hint: "A name by any other... is still SHEM!"

To say the least I am excited about setting this record straight, because it opens up a whole new world of study!

"When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable... must be the truth!"

Gargantuous Nephilim and the Men of Shem - Richard Abram Rosenberger

    Introduction

    ––––––––

Bill is a good friend of mine; he doesn’t agree with everything I say and holds me accountable without insulting me (too much). I respect him a great deal, as he is a single parent and a diligent father, a hardworking man raising two boys while finding time to teach Bible Study faithfully.  After he heard the mechanical outline of my book, he said, If you have time to write a book, you should write one that is uplifting.

We discussed some of the more profound keys to my book's topic, and he told me that he wouldn’t be particularly interested in reading just another book on this topic.

I agreed! I said that usually, the topic for me was an open and shut case, and another book to argue mere theology would be pointless. Then I revealed the purpose of The Nephilim and the Sons of God and that most people don’t know too much about it. So it makes sense to clarify the biblical position.

Furthermore, I agreed with him about having a book uplifting in this confused age, but I hadn’t told him yet what I discovered! This study's whole underlying foundation uncovers an amazing truth hidden in plain sight, and when people get a peek into its revelation, there will be no going back!

It is just that this very subject has been over-run with conjecture, mystery, and mythology that we all come to the table with so many preconceived ideas. And it is this bias that keeps us from the very thing that God is trying to get through to us. Tantalized by hidden truth, we often miss the treasure staring us in the face!

On the bright side, this whole controversy, conspiracy, and biblical contravention force us to question a particular passage of scripture that we usually wouldn’t have given a second thought! But what we find is that the very scripture of contention becomes the same catalyst for understanding the incredible promises of God!

What I am saying is that it appears that God foreknew this whole Nephilim thing was going to be an issue. He said something prophetically crucial in a seemingly isolated passage so that it would only make sense if one were looking to make sense of the apparent contradiction! Sorry about that mind-bender, but the long and the short of it is that the truth seems concealed only by one’s inability to comprehend an eternity outside of time.

Consequently, this is what takes me an entire book to explain.

I found myself looking for an answer as to why there is a single scripture in the middle of the Bible that seems to VIOLATE the entire biblical narrative context. And when you see it as I did, you won’t be able to un-see it! When you grasp it, you won’t be able to escape its grasp! Yet, just as in the title of this book, the answer has always been hiding in plain sight!

The key scriptures will not only unlock the mystery of the ages; they will prophesy what will set you free from worldly worry and fear. When you get it, the truth will already have you! And the thing is, it only makes sense in light of all the other scriptures! That is called context! Because if teaching doesn’t line up with the big picture, it doesn’t belong on the canvas!

Is it uplifting? Not the word strong enough for what I am looking for, and encouraging doesn’t entirely summarize the mind-blowing experience that will be yours! You may be able to argue its message, but you will never be the same after you start picking up what I am laying down!

I know that all this seems quite presumptuous, but I have yet to read a book that uncovers this revelation, and as you will see, I am more than excited about its implications! When I discovered this epiphany, I admit it seemed reminiscent of the revelation of Christ to the Magi, only more like the future manifestation of The Sons of God but let’s stop there.

    Epiphany noun, plural epiphanies. [http://www.dictionary.com/browse/epiphany]

    1. (initial capital letter) a Christian festival, observed on January 6, commemorating the manifestation of Christ to the gentiles in the persons of the Magi; Twelfth-day.

    2. an appearance or manifestation, especially of a deity.

    3. a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into something's reality or essential meaning, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.

    4. a literary work or section of a work presenting, usually symbolically, such a moment of revelation and insight.

Look, this book may not make a difference to your salvation, but it might make a difference to the confidence you have in your salvation! In matters of faith, it’s like discovering that you have been arguing mythology when you should have been keeping with the scriptures!

Most importantly, as a Christian, this book doesn’t change any part of the glorious Gospel handed down to us; we are complete in Jesus and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3b). However, it does eliminate some dogging questions forced on us that were not placed there by the scriptures in the first place!

I can’t wait to get started, and I hope you will afford me a bit of patience as I lay out a foundation that outlines where we go from here. I must confess that most books are too slow for me, and I always complain about how they don’t get to the point. I typically bounce around and may even read some books from the back to the front. This book should be sliced and diced ...I look to challenge you and hope you would return the favor!

    Author’s Notes

    ––––––––

I want to be as deep a thinker as the next guy, and it would be nice if some of those thoughts were recorded and played back in the ears of my descendants one day. More to the point, mine has been a struggle for almost four decades with one particular verse of scripture. It has been this struggle that has made me acutely aware that I don’t struggle alone. This one scripture caused me to pause this side of complete confidence about who the Bible is referring to as the sons of God. Though I could quickly dispel all notions of biblical contradiction in the face of the query, this one scripture for many years caused me to study. I found I was looking at scriptures through time instead of Eternity!

Part of my wrangling has been against the accusations of Biblical contradictions in the face of my attempts to evangelize a lost world, ...leaving me to contend earnestly for my faith, as they do theirs. Invariably that conversation touches most hammered-out biblical teachings; then it strays into the unknown ...where both sides are equally at a loss to convince the other. After all, it only takes is one apparent contradiction in the Bible to cause people to lose confidence or, worse, be confident in their conjecture!

So, for almost 40 years, I had wandered around in the wilderness of mystery only because I saw scriptures from a linear time perspective! And, even though I could explain in detailed accuracy how the sons of God can only be human, yet a single scripture passage (Job 38:1-8) in the past had left me to question. While other related scriptures were adamantly clear, I couldn’t think outside of my own finite experience and needed to contrast that experience with the bigger picture of eternity outside of this present time and space. When you consider this aspect, all other related scriptures make complete sense. We need to look at all scriptures through the view of eternity instead of just mere time!

Enter the book of Hebrews. Hebrews is a book written to the Hebrews by a Hebrew who understood the Old Testament. Hebrews 1:5-7 clearly states that no angel at any time has ever been the son or a son of God. Yet in light of Hebrews, when Job 38:7-8 declares that all the sons of God shouted for joy at beholding God lays out the foundation of the world... how could these not be Angels? See the problem? Our paradigm needs to shift in perspective; many of us only see books like Daniel and Revelation as futuristic and not from an eternal perspective. It makes a huge difference to know that passage from the end of time, instead of the beginning! Because someday we will live outside time constraints!

"For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?" (Hebrews 1:5)

"Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if you know? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the cornerstone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"

Now, God questioned the man named Job, "where he was when God laid the foundations of the world... when ...all the sons of God shouted for joy. Every other scripture, even those earlier in Job that mention the sons of God" ...are easily found to be only human (though some modern versions of the Bible claim otherwise). Still, how can this scripture passage describe a man being with God our Creator before the foundation of the world?

And yet, this is the very prayer that Jesus (our Creator) prayed in his final hours in the flesh! We will see just how those prayers were answered and fulfill an incredible prophecy!

"Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou loved me before the foundation of the world." (John 17:24)

This book will show you that this is not only possible, but it is, in fact, undeniable! Given all the scriptures we know, Job would have had to be present with God WHERE and WHEN He laid out the foundations of the world! Job’s attendance to this time of past Creation would have been in his future to be an answer to the prayer of Christ in Gethsemane. Job would get to experience, as Jesus put it, being with me where I am. Being the only way Job 38:7 can be interpreted because Hebrews 1:5 states that Angels cannot be called sons of God.

Another mystery found in the scriptures is the offspring of the daughters of men who were wives of the sons of God in Genesis 6:4. The answer is uncovered literally in this same text, proving that their so-called renowned offspring were human. They would have to be of Noah's sons' lineage to make them renowned, not merely remembered!

What I am about to tell you has not been to my knowledge presented in any book that I could find, but as you will see, it is in the only book that counts... the Bible.

It is not merely a struggle about words as it is a clarification of and keeping to context. To some, this may sound quite fantastic, but I assure you that these scriptures hold the key to unlocking many long-held controversies with God’s Word. It encourages us to return to the complete Word of God that invariably needs no help from our conjecture or ancient fables and mythology to understand it!

Sometimes I wonder if anyone will even read or listen to an answer when the questions seem so much more exciting! Our story begins in the first chapter of the Bible’s Genesis, but we will be picking it up late in Chapter 5 and early chapter 6. Arguably there is no place in the Bible that is the subject of more speculation and outright fantasy, casting even more shade on the rest of God’s Word. And yet, it is all because of one particular word.

On the surface, people may think that the Nephilim and the Sons of God's topic not essential or may believe it obscured and fringe at best. I beg to differ. Furthermore, I think that if you don’t get this subject right, your entire life-perspective of foundational biblical teaching is skewed! Like other challenging teachings of the Bible, this one, too, more often than not, has been left in the folder file agree to disagree!

Understanding The Nephilim and The Sons of God and the hidden scriptures uncovering their identity is an integral key to understanding the Gospel itself. Every facet of our faith hinges on what we believe about Genesis, and the 6th Chapter of Genesis is no exception. Believe it, if you get this wrong, your entire understanding of the very Gospel of Christ is wrong! And if that is possible, tell me how the student of Christ will have confidence in the same scriptures that offer truth and freedom? What I mean is Christ has weighed in on this subject and clarified for all time that answer.

You will see how our faith, hope, and eternal perspectives are established by the scriptures dealing with this subject. False narratives on this subject and many fables gendered on the Bible's coat-tails have become no less than the fodder of fools, and the harbinger of heresy! However, less dramatically, we as humans make near-sighted mistakes and must be prepared to recognize the answers when we see them.

So, you might ask how I could write another book on this subject? Well, knowing that there have been hundreds if not thousands selling a variation of this story, leaving many souls shipwrecked, I can do no other! Every day I find Christians infected by extra-biblical works that taint their understanding of what our Genesis is about, and I can barely go a week without some conversation hinging on this particular study.

Seeing as I cannot possibly be in enough places to cover this incredible story satisfactorily, I can only summarize my years of study and hundreds of other author’s apologetics. I do not claim many of these insights as my own, except for a handful. These have been available for thousands of years to the Bible reader and now more recently on the Internet.

After scouring the Holy Bible and hundreds of other books, websites, and many hours of video, I believe you will enjoy the brevity of all the information cited. Keep in mind that this non-fiction book is written out of necessity, as it is easier to give you a summary than it is to spend a few hundred hours in discussion and debate and debate; there will be!

I find it imperative to address this topic because I often have to discuss our most precious faith with anyone of any religion! Unfortunately, I have found that many Churches have drunk the mystery Kool-Aid ...from the most fundamental to the liberal, and I have yet to find a group of believers united on Genesis 6. Some choose to avoid it instead of spiraling into a contentious debate and fruitless study. But, let the reader be confident that this book will not add more to the confusion on this subject; instead, I will be careful to answer simply these questions on the scripture passages. That said, the truth is nothing short of mind-blowing!

"Would to God you could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him. For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been thoroughly made manifest among you in all things." (2 Corinthians 11:1-6)

Our commission isn’t just to go into all the world and make disciples ...we need to remember that we simply cannot lead where we will not go, and we cannot teach what we do not know. So, there is no substitute for our discipleship, study, and personal application (2 Timothy 2:15). That said, I have always found God to be gracious to give us wisdom and insight by the mere asking in humble prayer. My prayer is that you are encouraged and gain a fresh perspective to help you stand firm in a clear understanding of the Word of God and your eternal destiny:

"...he said unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand." (Revelation 22:10)

And now some 2000 years later yet, the time is more yet at hand!

    Sherlock Holmes

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable...  must be the truth.

—Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes)

The Sign of the Four, ch. 6 (1890)

Sherlock Holmes in The Sign of the Four (Doubleday p. 111)

Now that we have got our feet wet (so to speak), I can be open about some of the struggles I had in addressing this topic. One such effort has been my immense respect for those authors who have proven to be giants of apologetics ministries. I don’t believe for a second that some of those whom I disagree with in matters of theology are false teachers. If there is a discrepancy between our understandings, I believe that it is merely a matter of insufficient information and argument.

I have followed the lives of such big names in Christianity and found them to be such a blessing in counsel, but to view these men and women as less than the servants of God, would be a great disservice to our Lord who has led them safe thus far. The same blood of Christ saves us. I desire to reconcile the many questions we face as believers with the same standard and answers provided in the Word of God. I recognize their precious ministry already provides to the tender-seeking church except on their Nephilimism.

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13)

For years I have referred people to many apologetics ministries because they provide such a wealth of information and counsel. I could have confidence in 99% of their take on most subjects, yet I would cringe every time I saw an author, blog, or answers site, claim any part of the mythological Nephilimism as a biblical answer. That was because it wasn’t the biblical answer; it was merely an answer imposed on the Bible by an extra-biblical text or mythological fantasy fable. It broke my heart to see established teachers either (by choice) uninterested, uninformed, or remote on this particular discussion.

I have spent years challenging teachers, encouraging students, and trying to undo the damage this mythology has had on many Christian teachings and traditions. But a problem I had was where to start? I needed to layout the claims and arguments of Nephilimism in contrast to the Biblical understanding of the texts used, but doing so would prove more like putting out spot-fires from a spitting volcano! So I decided to treat this subject as the mystery that it is (to some) and outline arguments and questions resulting.

So I chose a famous quote as an outline, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes), and more specifically, one particular method described in the book The Sign of the Four, often quoted and enjoyed by Sherlock Holmes enthusiasts, as a means of logically detecting something seemingly impossible, but obviously achievable. Just like the Nephilim teaching and the sons of God, shows the Bible has a doctrine to be understood. What is its intended purpose? And more significantly, what is it hiding, if anything?

One could say that I am attempting to fight fiction with fiction; I would rather admit I am using a specific principle on the principled and trying to use logic on the logical. If by some means any sarcasm, wit, or humor should make it to these pages, I hope that it might offer some fun to an otherwise awkward subject rather than a distraction. Mostly, I was at a loss for how to frame herringbone questions with tangents that are pervasive to this study. But I also hope you detect respect for any teachers with whom I may disagree.

    Let’s start to eliminate certain impossibilities "It is impossible for God to lie" so that we have this trust as an anchor of the soul;

"God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by (these) two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entered into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest forever after the order of Melchisedec." (Hebrews 6:17-20)

Yes, it is impossible for God to lie, for starters, so that we can take that off the table at the start. God didn’t contradict Himself in His Word, and His servants (prophets and apostles) who penned the scriptures didn't lie either. In this study, we will take God at His Word and not critique the Bible; instead, we will hold other claims up to its incontrovertible truth to see if any claim, question, or postulation agrees or disagrees with its standard. I hope to achieve bible study ...rather than merely a philosophical exercise.

What we are about to consider may be a no-brainer, ...yet it may escape us, as we valiantly defend against such groups as the Mormons or Jehovah’s Witnesses. That noble stand against their doctrinal errors may leave us with blind-spots to many equally questionable teachings within the Christian camp. God, Himself has preserved His Word throughout the ages, and it continues to be the standard that exposes all false claims to its precepts, regardless of their affiliations. It is the standard to which everything is compared, as a counterfeit to the original.

Jesus said: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Matthew 24:35)

...faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

God has never left us without the witness of His Word, and He never will. No one loves us more than God, and He desires for us to have a relationship with Him based on love and truth. But cultists would have us believe that God has lost His witness through His people and that some particular intervention was necessary to provide a word by some obscured means and special prophet. Some say that by a hidden script or some lost book, ...there’s always something that claims supersede the preserved and complete testimonies of God’s Holy Word.

"Beware lest any man spoils you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power... 18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind," (Colossians 2:8-10, 18)

The take-away should be clear we are complete in Christ. Our faith is impervious to philosophy, vain deceit, the tradition of men, and the basic rudiments of the world! As well, we are not to let anyone cheat us of our reward in "voluntary humility and worshiping of angels" (any religious tradition based on fear of angels). And that is what is going on in this mind-controlled Nephilimism intruding into those things which (they have) not seen, vainly puffed up by (their) fleshly mind(s).

The scriptures are not silent on such matters; they just haven’t been applied explicitly to some teachings that have gone without scrutiny to this point. Can we, with confidence, apply certain scriptures to Christian cults that have missed the mark? If so, then we should, with the same honesty, apply Paul's words about fables and myths that were common in his day written between 300-100 B.C., like the Book of Enoch ...and its 450 food giants! To be clear, that is NOT what the Bible describes, but worse than this mythological claim of giants, Noah’s Ark's size is the damage done to impressionable students today!

Today, Christian groups ignorantly base some of their religious traditions on the fear of angels, such as head coverings and all the other conjectures that result in considering Pseudepigrapha. People are free to believe whatever they want and base their beliefs on whatever and whomever they want, but they cannot mesh contradictory writings with the Bible and say the Bible upholds and promotes these fables. Some groups don’t base their head coverings on these myths, but this whole thing sounds similar to discussions held some 2000 years ago when the Apostle Paul concluded on this topic:

But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. (1 Corinthians 11:16)

Let me paraphrase. Beware that one deceives you through some philosophy. Don’t follow after traditions based on theories or political correctness, and not after Christ. Jesus Christ is the fullness of God in human form, and you are complete in Him. Christ is the head of all power and authority, so don’t let anyone cheat you of your reward by manipulating you into the observance of religious customs out of the fear of angels. These teachers get into many things that they have not seen; basically, these things are merely the imaginations of carnal minds.

It is a daunting task to undo what many years of unhealthy curiosity with mythology have destroyed by people trying to substantiate Pseudepigrapha that doesn’t belong anywhere near scripture! But we will hammer out again and reaffirm those things that have long been affirmed and established by the prophets and apostles of Christ. But we will also uncover some incredible truths that these distractions have even obscured.

Have those things that once were obvious to the apostles now become a mystery? Somehow an amazing truth has become shrouded in lies and controversy, but I say no more!

A grievous crime is perpetrated against the gospel of Christ, yet there remains little regard in the house of faith for what it might be or who is responsible. A more in-depth investigation into this matter is not only warranted but indeed of necessity.

We are going to eliminate the impossible, and whatever remains, however improbable...  must be the truth.

    ––––––––

Come, Watson, come!' he cried. 'The game is afoot. Not a word! Into your clothes and come!' Ten minutes later, we were both in a cab and rattling through the silent streets on our way to Charing Cross Station.

― Arthur Conan Doyle, The Return of Sherlock Holmes

    Eliminate the Impossible

    ––––––––

"When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable...  must be the truth" —Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes)

People ask me if this whole story about the Nephilim and somehow fallen angels cohabited with women to produce demon/giant children ...has anything to do with our salvation? Of course not! But what it does cause is our deviation or distraction from the very message we are passing on to a lost world. To add to the Gospel, some mythology that can confuse and entangle searching souls is to place a stumbling block, causing others to stray from the simplicity that is in Christ!

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:6-9)

We cannot marry the truths of God’s Word with the lies of the devil, and we should not confuse New Christians with ignorant distractions. It is a shame that well-meaning Christians go off on all kinds of tangents that perverts the gospel and the saving grace of Christ. We are constrained to not go beyond the written word, and encourage others in faith, so why put something out there contrary to scripture? Answering inquiring minds on things we don’t know is one thing; opening them up to lies is quite another!

Paul wrote to the Galatians that any deviation from the Gospel would carry a penalty of being accursed. It, too, results from those who insist on deviating from the Old Testament narrative and prophesies. So, along come pieces of manuscripts that contradict the Bible, and we are supposed to give them the time of day? God forbid! These scraps of Pseudepigrapha were probably lost and buried for a reason. Are we actually People of The Book? Or will that title suffice until something more entertaining or intriguing comes along?

Our purpose is to share the good news of God’s Word to a lost world, not entertain lost world curiosity and propensity for controversy, conspiracy theories, or mystery!

"But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."   (2 Timothy 2:23-26)

What do we do then, with those cultists that have come along in the last few hundred years or half a century? I say they are too late! We get some great leader show up in these last days and claim to have the lost truth, which is supposed to make us weak in the knees? They claim that God’s people were wandering in spiritual darkness for years, but then they arrived just in time with a flashlight? I don’t think so! We need to test every modern message against the Bible; it alone has stood the test of time and still saves souls today!

Are we supposed to abandon the Bible (the bestseller of all times) for some book of giants, book of Mormon, or book of Enoch ...get real! The entire world enjoys the Bible and its saving message without any addition or detraction from its message. These fables are a contradiction to His Word Period! We cannot assume that these things are only preserved for our private group while the rest of the world blindly continues without them.

"(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

We can either assume that God wants us all to know Him in salvation through Christ or not. No middle ground. IF God would have wanted us to learn about some mythological mystery... He would have made sure that Christ would have spoken about it. IF God would have wanted us to know about some superior race of Giants that were offspring of fallen Angels... again, Christ would have spoken of it. But instead, Christ did give us explicitly a standard to which we could hold up any book or letter so that we could see if it would stand the test of truth!

I see some TRUTHS that Christ speaks on destroys the Book of Enoch's entire premise and its mythology...

"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matthew 24:37-39)

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." (Matthew 22:29-30)

    1) First, the point Jesus makes in the first statement is that the world was carrying on oblivious to the impending judgment about to be theirs. And what characterized the actions of the people in Noah’s day was that they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. Why is that important? Because Jesus (as God) mentioned neither angels nor giants as contributors to the flood's global punishment. Furthermore, they were "marrying and giving in marriage" ...not being raped by fallen angels!

    2) Second, the next TRUTH Christ clarifies that angels "neither marry nor are given in marriage! God would know! With time and history on his side, Christ summarizes the Old Testament by saying that angels neither marry" (summarizing the past) and nor are given in marriage (outlining the future). Consider when the demons even had to ask Jesus permission to enter the swine (Luke 8:32). Also, in the first Chapters of Job, Satan needed permission to hurt Job. Christ never did, nor ever will grant angelic or demonic marriages!

    3) Third, the so-called book of Enoch was said to have been written around some 300 years B.C. but was added to around the time of Christ. By declaring what Jesus said, He would have addressed this book and or other false teachings held by the Jewish leaders by relaying these principles. Christ would not have had to name these books or the myriad of false prophets down through the ages; He would have only given His word on the subject. He was destroying any false teachings built on these lies.

    4) Fourth, Enoch, who didn’t write the Book of Enoch, was already 549 years in Heaven before God even spoke to Noah about the Ark! Has anyone even thought critically about these timelines? How is it possible that this Enoch could have detailed the marriages of the sons of God and the daughters of men ...over 500 years prior?

Furthermore, Enoch was in Heaven almost 70 years before Noah was even born! One has to be pretty desperate to further that nonsense! (See pg 19)

Before someone says something as silly as that the sons of God spoken of in Genesis only had sex, and never married the daughters of men, ...they need to be reminded the scriptures clearly state that they took wives. One cannot say that only angels in heaven weren’t given in marriage but took wives,... insinuating that the ones in Genesis 6 were the fallen angels ...and did as they pleased? Devils even need permission to possess people!

Our Lord Jesus Christ didn’t leave His teachings up to our discretion to add and take away or mix with some mythology. He spoke these things to answer questions and preserved His word to answer questions we have now. To be honest, we need to hold firmly to His Word or reject it. But to bastardize it and mess with its message is to heap a ton of condemnation on ourselves! We would never think to modify Shakespeare's works; why would we pervert the words of the prophets and apostles?

We should not wrongly assume that people's inability to interpret Scripture demonstrates that God did not make Himself apparent to the men who penned the Bible. Nor that God’s Word's meanings are so dark or obscured that it would be too difficult to understand. We can be confident that there is a contextual translation of scripture (though many applications) and a proper understanding of basic biblical principles. Apart from that, the rest results from manipulating the scriptures regardless of whether it is on purpose or not!

therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen. (2 Peter 3:17-18)

There is a movement afoot to eliminate such notions as truth or absolute truth in our day and age. There is no truth without it being absolute; either it is accurate, or it is not. Something can be incomplete and still
