About this ebook

America, the Daughter of Babylon deals with the prophetic future of the United States of America. The Bible reveals that there will be a second nation of Babylon, which is described in detail throughout scripture and can be identified as America.

The bible not only identifies America, but also gives detailed accounts of future events concerning her. God has much to say to us today about our relationship to Babylon and the Babylonian religion.

This book reveals that many of the symbols of the Babylonian religion that was created by Lucifer himself, King of Babylon, are displayed as American symbols throughout her Capitol. The American Capitol itself is linked directly to the founding of Babel by its cornerstone.

Dedication

To Dr Robert Hooley who put forth a challenge to me and many other young Bible college students to study God’s Word and to be a workman that needeth not to be ashamed (II Timothy 2:15). And now fourteen years later this book is a direct result of that challenge.

A Descriptive Outline

General

The book is a study in biblical prophecy. Specifically the prophecies concerning the daughter of Babylon. The historic nation of Babylon ended approximately

IOObc

and has never been revived. However, scripture speaks of another nation of Babylon existing at the same time as the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The biblical prophecies concerning the fall of Babylon, as found in the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Revelations have never been fulfilled in history. Thus, we look for another Babylon. A nation which will fit the biblical description, and exist during the correct time period.

The following is a partial list of the identifying descriptions of this other Babylon.

1.  This nation will exist at the same time as the restoration of a Jewish state in the Land of Israel.

2.  The national symbol will be an EAGLE.

3.  She is the greatest economic (wealthy) nation in the world.

4.  She is the world’s largest consumer nation, purchasing the world’s manufactured goods.

5.  She is the world’s most powerful military nation.

6.  She is a nation of mingled people. People from many nations woven together.

7.  She is a golden cup in the Lord’s hand. A nation used to bless the rest of the world.

8.  A nation where the Jewish people will immigrate and prosper.

The re-establishment of the Jewish state took place in 1948. Thus, the nation described above existed at that time, and also today.

There is a nation existing today which fits the biblical description. That nation is America.

This book not only identifies the daughter of Babylon, it also explores many aspects within Babylon. It examines the social, religious and spiritual nature of the nation. The book also brings the subject into Christian perspective.

Chapters

The following is a brief chapter by chapter description of the book: Chapter One\ The Beginning (pages 3-8).

This chapter reviews the founding of Babylon, from both history and scripture.

Chapter Two: Babylon the Mother of Occultism (pages 9-20). The religion of Babylon is responsible for the character of the nation. It must be reviewed in order to understand the nature of Babylon. Unlike the nation of Babylon, the religion never died. The religion went underground and became what we know today as ‘Occult’. The basic doctrines are reviewed and explained in layman’s terms.

Chapter Three: Lucifer, King of Babylon (pages 21-29). In Isaiah chapter fourteen, The spiritual king, or leader of Babylon is revealed as ‘Lucifer’. This chapter discusses and explores his character and leadership.

Chapter Four. Religious Babylon (pages 31-39).

This chapter covers the great whore of Babylon, which is found in Revelation chapter seventeen. It discusses the scope and influence of this world (global) religious movement and the peace movement it promotes.

Chapter Five: Economic Babylon (pages 41-44).

This chapter discusses the economic control exercised by Babylon.

Also some of the false doctrine promoted from Babylon.

Chapter Six: National Babylon (pages 45-96).

This chapter explores in depth the ‘End Time’ nation of Babylon.

Chapter Seven: The Daughter of Babylon (pages 97-125). This chapter covers the national symbolism of America. It reveals the meaning and the source of the major symbols. The symbols indicate that America is directly tied to Babylon.

Chapter Eight: The People of Babylon (pages 127-130). Scripture reveals four basic groups of people living in Babylon. These groups are discussed and put into Christian perspective.

Introduction

Of all the nations written about in scripture, few are covered as extensively as Babylon. There are hundreds of references found in the Bible. Babylon is first mentioned in the book of Genesis, which was written approximately 1450

bc

, and lastly in the book of Revelation, written about 90

ad

. This is a time span of over 1500 years.

With all this information about Babylon, there is much we can learn about God, and about our world.

The beginning of Babylon is first documented in Genesis 10:10. It was originally called Babel, a word meaning ‘CONFUSION’ and even more specifically ‘AN ANOINTING OF CONFUSION’. Babel was the capital of Nimrod’s kingdom; Babel’s great tower was her claim to fame. It was built to reach unto heaven and to make a name for the people. Scripture says that God came down to see what the children of men were building, and said ‘Now nothing will be restrained from them, which they imagine to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language;’ (Genesis 11:6&7). As a result the people of Babel were scattered throughout the world, and the nations of the world were born.

The beginning of Babylon can be accurately stated as ‘OUT OF ONE NATION CAME MANY’.

Babel was a kingdom and as a kingdom it had many different aspects: RELIGIOUS, SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, NATIONAL;

all of these dimensions need to be considered; it will be the intent of this book to cover the many faces of Babylon.

‘The end of Babylon’

The destruction of Babylon has been foretold by many prophets, starting with the Old Testament book of Isaiah. Isaiah’s prophecies revealed events about the fall or destruction of Babylon that have never taken place in the history of ancient Babylon. The ancient city of Babylon was indeed destroyed but not the way the prophecy indicated. The destruction of Babylon was also prophesied in the book of Jeremiah, and again, many of the descriptions cannot be found in Babylonian history. So it becomes clear that the Babylon of old is not the Babylon spoken of by the prophets. Thus we look for another Babylon, a Babylon that fits the biblical description.

This ‘other Babylon’ is also indicated in the New Testament book of Revelation, a book that also speaks of the fall of Babylon, yet was written nearly

200

years after Babylon was in ruins. The destruction of historic ancient Babylon was a slow process starting in

539bc

and finally coming to an end about

IOObc

. The book of Revelation was written about

90ad

and could not be speaking about the old Babylon.

A study of the scriptures will provide the keys to help identify and recognize this other Babylon. Her religious side, and how, from Babylon, the world received the doctrines known today as occultism. It will also show how Babylon will require a global economy and society, and lastly we’ll look into the land of Babylon and the unmistakable connection to modern America.

As individuals, it’s important for each of us to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to know and please him in all that we do. We can learn from Babylon’s mistakes, avoiding her doctrines and attitude. We need also to heed the scriptural warning, ‘Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins and that ye receive not of her plagues.’ (Rev. 18:4).

Chapter One

The Beginning

The beginning of Babylon. Where did it all start? It is necessary to go back to the time before the flood, a time period commonly known as ANTEDILUVIAN. The account of this time is found in Genesis chapter 6, verse 5, where it says ‘God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.’. In this account we see the social and personal spiritual condition of man, as seen from God’s point of view. In Matt.24-38 & 39 The people living in the time period before the flood did not listen to God or know his ways, Tor as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and given in marriage, until the day that Noe (Noah) entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away;’ The people of that time were like some people living today; they were too busy with the cares of this world to consider God; they just wanted to fulfil their own fleshly desires-eat, drink and have a good time.

Why would God destroy mankind just for having a good time? I believe the answer lies in the condition of man’s heart. Scripture says that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Notice the words God uses: ‘EVERY imagination’ ‘ONLY evil’ ‘evil CONTINUALLY’; I believe that when a man or a society comes to the point that they are continually ignoring God and violating his laws, it shows a total lack of repentance, and it is that lack of repentance that God judges.

Judgement from God is exactly what happened. ‘And it repented the Lord that that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth;’ (Genesis 6:6, 7). Fortunately God found a man that was not going along with the crowd-a just man to whom God showed grace, (unmerited favor). Noah and his family were saved from the flood by the building of an ark.

Noah and his family, having come out of the ark, found a new world: a clean world not stained with the iniquity of man’s evil imagination. This was a new start for
