About this ebook

Who are the Jews and Israelites of the Bible, and why do they matter? The Bible records their early history and offers a guide to identifying them today, but more is needed to truly understand their significance.

In The Truth behind Truths, author Cedric Boswell shares the history of the Jews as revealed in the Bible. He asks pertinent questions not often seen in typical histories and provides Scriptures in support of his answers. Beginning with Adam, Boswell relates different stories of Jews in the Bible and how they are truly the chosen people of God.

Boswell argues that those who currently call themselves Jews do not fit the historic evidence in their looks or how they were dispersed from Israel. He discusses skin pigmentation and explains that many of the early Jewish people were black and not white. He then explores the subject of Gods elect, the genealogy of the Jews, and the tribes of Israel. In the last section, Boswell tackles the heavy yet crucial subject of redemption.

An unorthodox and intriguing study, The Truth behind Truths seeks to open your eyes to new questions and new perspectives on the Jews of the Bible.

    INTRODUCTION

    Introduction

PLEASE READ before proceeding, thank you. For the sake of the introduction and those seeking to inquire about this book, I am going to speak from my thoughts and experiences; only from my thoughts and experiences will I speak. If you received this book because it was sent to you, you heard about it, or if you found the book on your own, something called you to it. Regardless if it was something said, or something unsaid, you opened it to find something. Whether it is an answer, an argument, a clue, or fabrication, there is one thing amongst many that we as people seek; the truth.

Or at least that is what most people like to believe. But time and time again through movies, through reality shows, and through the media we are dismayed. To go a season, or a lifetime setting ones hope or belief on a particular outcome all to find out that it was not so. Some can live with this others cannot, I say this not to philosophize as a college professor, but as a disclaimer to all those that no matter how much proof you show them they still refuse to accept a particular claim. Need it be politics, religion, sports, or a daily situation, they stay in denial.

This is not for you, close the book, email, or file and don’t open it. Only those who have a mind like a child, meaning open to all ideas and beliefs allowing themselves to be led while simultaneously being prudent, being able to exercise good judgment and use common sense. Only then will you have eyes but see and have ears but hear, until then you are deaf and blind. Like a fool who sees his flaws and does nothing about them, or like the blind that can never see where their faults lie, forever seeing but never perceiving, forever hearing but never able to understand, forever learning but never able to come into the truth. This is for the wise, those that see their problem, admit it, and seek correction, or simply want to follow a similar path.

If the title of the book aroused your interest then I will inform you of why I chose it, it has a hidden meaning, one that is in this world behind all the others, although it had not always been this way. The others are very strong and seemingly over power the other, but this is only for a time until the other is completely revealed. Even now, it works its way to the front slowly its validity inevitable and will consume the others, but its time isn’t full. Like a woman in labor who cannot deliver her child any faster through her own desire for it, but it will come in time. And that is all that will be said about the title.

As for why I wrote the book and what it entails of are for and about one in the same; those that seek truth and all that comes with it. In this case a biblical aspect, if you love the bible, hate it, or reject it asks yourself why? Then decide if you will choose to continue this path regardless of what you may find. I started this path when I was eighteen full of questions and slowly growing more zealous and found many things always searching for more. Doing my best to avoid hasty moves and decisions and learning as I go. When I finally decided to write a book at the age of nine-teen nearly twenty years of age, I had help in visions, dreams, and teachers along the way, as well as encouragement to want to do more than have a document full of scriptures. So I write out of love and concern, and I only seek to offer the truth and nothing more. I particularly don’t like arguments or disputes and can sometimes seem nonchalant. I say this as a disclaimer, which you will soon understand as to why. I am not part of a cult, I am not a demon or Satan worshiper, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t use drugs, I don’t even use prescriptions unless it’s a life and death situation, and at this point in my life I have my sanity.

All I ask is to bear with the scriptures and try to finish reading them all, paying close attention as this book is written cumulatively, so that one would need to have read and understood majority of the previous parts before venturing off into the next parts. This is not a book that I would recommend to skip parts in, for it was made to build off of your understanding of the previous part. So that when you finish reading the entire work you will have a grasp on all of the scriptural and historical evidence given to make this work complete. If by any chance you have any proof or evidence for or against any claims I made in this book, I would be grateful if you made them known. So that I as a writer can continue to acquire better attributes to mold myself into a better writer and researcher. I am now one that if I make a mistake I will admit it, and seek correction, and am thankful to be corrected, as for your beliefs and how you feel I am not concerned with them. That remark may seem cruel and you may think of me as being insensitive but it is imperative that you understand this is not written for those who were simply seeking something to make themselves feel better or worse, about a topic or situation only to prove a point. This book was not written as a replacement for the bible but as a guide to it, and therefore you will need to read this book along with a bible.

If you do seek to read this book, I would advise you to brace yourself for the unadulterated truth, you may not like it, it may make you angry, and most people just can’t handle it, but it will set you free. If allowed and still alive, I will make a text book with everything to appeal to all those who need elaborate pictures, definitions, and history as they learn, as for now only a fragment, for it is written this way. Think of each part of this book like a page out of a much larger book of information that is written in parts that must be gathered and then put out slowly, otherwise putting them all together could possible scare or overwhelm the reader; so please forgive me.

Please note that it would behoove you to use a KJV (King James Version) Bible as well as the Apocrypha or purchasing a bible that has them both. In case you’re wondering The term Apocrypha comes from the Greek word meaning hidden or secret, which is part of the canon, the canon is the original books of the bible that were translated to English. The Catholic bible contains most of the Apocryphal books but not all of them, and the Protestants omitted them in their translations all together. What and who are the Protestants? Without digging into all of the history examine the word carefully, and deal with the root, protest, in this case protestors. Who were the protestors? These protestors were any of the Christian bodies that separated from the Church of Rome during the Protestant Reformation era which started in Europe during the 16th century, or of any group that descended from them, including any Western Christian who is not an adherent meaning a follower or supporter of, in this case a supporter or follower of a Catholic, or Eastern Church that most likely held the theologies of Luther, Calvin, or Zwingli. As you read determine for yourself if these books fit, make sense or coincide with the other biblical books. Don’t just take my word or someone else’s, which by nature is what most of us do. As you read my book here are a few verses that I want you to keep in mind.

Isaiah 28:9-10, 13 Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breast. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little and there a little: 13 But the word of the Lord was upon them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared and taken.

A precept is a commandment or direction given as a rule of action or law, also referenced to as a principle. This very principle was that in which we are to follow when teaching things related to the bible, or biblical lessons.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

I Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

By these verses we learn that we cannot just believe something because it sounds good, it must be proven. We also know that in the process of proving we must implicate multiple verses to prove the validity of the claim, and I would suggest as many as possible, so that the reader or student develops a clear understanding as to what is being conveyed to them.

Judges 6:14-16 "And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites [Saudi Arabians]: have not I sent thee? And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? Behold my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house. And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man. A brief story of sometimes it takes what seems to be the least of us to be the greatest among us, regardless of our past experiences.

    PART I:

    Melanin

    Part I: Melanin

In order to identify who the Hebrew Israelites or Jews are today it is important to identify key characteristics that will help us find their true identity. Although ones skin color does not determine ones race it is a key characteristic in narrowing down the possibilities of it being other nations of people. In this case, we explore what skin color the Israelites were and are, and are they composed of one race or tribe? Or are they composed of many races or tribes that make up a larger group of people or nation? If for any reason you may feel that the Jews you know of today are without a doubt the Jews of the bible, than you should easily be able to provide all the scriptural evidence to support that claim, especially if one believes the bible to be the history book of the world and the history of those mentioned in it. Through this same book one should be able to find all the keys necessary to unlock such evidence. Even to see that the bible is primarily centered on this nation of people greater than any other nation mentioned in the bible, but strangely members of almost all nationalities gather to it or take from it. So let us start this journey in the beginning when God first formed man.

    Genesis 2:7

The first people formed including Adam and Eve were a dark skinned people, what evidence is there to prove this claim? God formed man from the ground, what color is dirt and soil? Even if I formed something from the shavings of your sweater, hat or hoody it would naturally be the same color as that sweater, hat, or hoody. I know some say dirt is different colors, true, different shades and tones of browns even red earth. In this case, however, use logic and common sense. If you are looking to plant a garden; need it be fruit, plant, or vegetation, you cannot use just any type of soil. Regardless if someone just wants to grow better grass or plans on cultivating a large field of edible food, you need good soil. The good soil is most likely going to be very dark brown in color, and full of nutrients. If you have ever worked on a ranch, farm, or do any sort of gardening at home, then this may come easy to you. You can also take it a step further and inquire of how God did things then and how rich the earth must have been when he first made man.

    Genesis 42:7-8

You may be wondering, what is the significance of me using this verse to prove skin pigmentation. Joseph recognizing his brothers, but did he greet them? No, he acted as a stranger toward his brothers, as if he just met them. Now you may ask yourself, why didn’t his brothers recognize him? Well for those of you that are not familiar with the story of Joseph I will help you get up to speed, but if you feel as if you are already well learned in the story and can recall the details of the events that took place, feel free to simply skip down to the next paragraph, need I waste any of your time. To those that need to catch up with the story you can either read starting from Genesis chapter thirty-seven through Genesis the forty-second chapter to know the full story or read these main point scriptures that I listed below that will sum up the whole story. [Genesis 37:2-5,19-28, 31-32,36; Genesis 39:2-4, 7-8, 10-14; Genesis 40:1-5,8, 12-14,23; Genesis 41:1-9,12,14,25,34-36,39-42,45-49,53 Genesis 42:3-4]

Now that we are on the same page lets continue. Let us examine the times, when Joseph was seventeen years of age he was sold to the people biblically referred to as the Ishmeelites, or most commonly spelled Ishmaelite’s, who are known today as the Arabs, who are also of the seed of Abraham [read Genesis 16:15; 17:20]. When he was thirty years old Joseph became a ruler directly under Pharaoh and the seven years of famine, no, it was the seven years of plenty that had passed and the people living at that time were entering the seven years of famine, which would make Joseph at least thirty-seven years of age when his brothers came to Egypt and also explain why his brothers came all the way to Egypt to buy food. So we know that a significant amount of time has passed since Joseph and his brothers have seen one another, it is also safe to assume facial features of Joseph and his brethren have changed. Seeing how he was taken at an age old enough to recall the events that took place but young enough to have been able to grow mentally and physically since his last encounter with his brethren.

So given all the years that have passed, what could Joseph had recognized that his brothers did not? For starters numbers, Joseph had a rather large family, and if he saw that family together it would better his chances of recognizing them, as it is easier to recognize a group of people rather than an individual, as many of us can relate to through past experiences looking for family or friends while out amongst other people. Joseph could have recognized even one of his brothers clearly that led to the answer of who they all were. On the other hand for his brothers, it is more difficult to remember just one person after so long of being apart. You must also consider that Joseph could have recalled their style of clothing which even today we use to categorize people. They dwelt in two separate lands, his brothers went to Egypt so it’s safe to assume that they saw a large number of Egyptians in Egyptian attire and we know by the scriptures that Joseph was dressed as such. So Joseph being dressed like an Egyptian and seeing his brothers dressed in the same array that he grew up in feeds into the recognition of his brethren and the misrecognition of him by his brethren.

So now you must ask yourself something, if ancient Egyptians were a dark skinned people, and Joseph was sold to the Ishmaelite’s who we know are the Arabs who are also of a dark skin tone. If in fact Joseph was of a very light complexion like a white male and his brothers being white as well, wouldn’t his brothers have noticed him? Being that
