A Journey For Your Tastebuds - Kelli-Marie Passley
A Journey For Your Taste-buds A Journey For Your Taste-buds is a delicious compilation of some of my favourite recipes from classics with a twist to original recipes with a flare.
Initially, creating a cookbook wasn't even at the forefront of my mind but the more my personal cookbook grew, the more I wanted to make it into a reality. It a journal, encapsulating my food journey throughout countless experiences. For Instance, I re-created a meal that started me on my career path or when I moved into my first house-share in London. Each meal has a story no matter how cliché. You will probably notice this in the changing of backgrounds. After putting in countless hours on these recipes, I am so pleased to be able to share them with you!

Helpful Cooking Tips
● The recipes that use 'dairy' terms such as milk and cheese are all plant-based which you can find in most supermarkets. They're substituted with oat milk and a coconut-oil based cheese (It doesn't taste like coconut at all!).
● Vegan brands that I often use are Vivera (meat substitutes), Violife (cheese) and Oatly (oat milk).
● You don't have to go out and purchase every equipment I mention. For instance, if you don't have a food processor, simply soak then finely cut and blend your ingredients in a regular juicer.
● Ingredients such as bean or pulses may require overnight soaking in water but that you can just as well use canned items.
● Some recipes may also use certain ingredients that you may absolutely hate or have an allergic reaction to. Simply, leave it out or substitute for something else of a similar flavour, for example, nutritional yeast instead of cheese.
● Many of my recipes use the same base ingredients so if you're wondering what to do the rest after use, simply skip to another recipe or freeze the leftovers for another day.
● Many brands have different recommendations on how to cook ingredients so make sure you pay attention to their labelling and adjust the recipe in accordance.
● You don't have to have meat alternatives for a meal to turn out great, you just need to ensure that you have the right combination of ingredients to make you satiated.
● After that spiel, I very much hope that you enjoy exploring the flavours within my cookbook as much as I did while making it come to life!
