    FOREWORD

Look left, now Look right, please look up, I apologize for putting you through the stress, now please look Down, you are probably thinking about why I asked you to do that, the answer is quite simple, they are cardinal points. I'll love you to realize that these four cardinal points define the life of Man, how a man treats those above him which includes his relationship with God, how he treats those below him, how he treats those on his right side; his friends, and how he treats those on his left; his enemies. These Cardinal points have been the making and destruction of many, the lack of understanding or knowledge as to how to deal shrewdly has gotten many Lost.

Babawale has provided you a valuable guide disguised on the pages of this book you hold. He has written this book not just by the excellency of his speech but by the humility of learning from the divinity and humanity. This is a Compass, not just a book but a guide. I am glad I read this book, my eyes were opened to possible setbacks I might encounter in the future and more so to know that the profound knowledge that can direct me on the right path. Babawale has a unique way of conveying his thoughts. However, we see him subject the vastness of his knowledge to the simple truth of the Scriptures (The best guide to mankind). I recommend Compass mostly because it draws its authenticity from the Bible.

My favorite chapter is the Waiting Room. In our generation today, we are obsessed with a swift response, the faster pace, the sports cars, fast food, etc. It's much appreciated to make it illegally in your twenties than to make it legally in your thirties, our Priorities have now changed. My fear is not laying a good foundation for the generation coming behind us, the waiting room should be read with an open heart and a desire to see a change in our generation through ourselves. Every other chapter is indeed an eye-opener and guide.

I present to you; Compass, a guide to value what matters. Babawale touched every significant area, from family to relationships to wealth and influence to society and lastly to God. Do I trust Babawale to lead you? I don't have to; I trust the God whom he believes and has inspired him to have this book in your hands. I'll leave you now to continue with the read. Enjoy the Ride.

    PREFACE

O ne of the important instruments to travelers especially those on the ship is the compass. This instrument is used for navigation, location, and direction. Often, people use it to find their way especially on a trip to a location. This instrument is used to determine the cardinal directions such that those who hold it can stay close to the track, the track that represents the shortest practical route from their starting point to their destination.

However, imagine life without a direction, or a life without purpose. It is important to be heavily reliant on a detailed plan for our lives, we need a general needle to point us in the right direction. We might navigate through life or situations without an idea of where we want to go. As Christians the bible is our compass. It gives a command for Christian living; it stipulates guides for good relationships and assurance in times of doubt.

The answers to the question of life are in the scriptures, but they will not fall on our laps. What we look for is what we find. " He that seeketh findeth". we must commit to rigorous research to find the gems embedded in the scriptures; to help us resolve seemingly complex issues. Most precious minerals don’t lie on the surface of the earth, they are hidden deep within the earth. To extract, you will need digging and mining. In the same way, knowledge is hidden, it is those who value it that will be
