Walk into Greatness: 30 Day Devotional When Life Knocks You Down
()
About this ebook
This 30-day devotional became dear to my heart. I wrote this as a way to encourage myself when I didn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I started writing affirmations and devotionals every day to keep me motivated. It got to a point that I would write to stay positive. I knew that my promises were on the way but just like Daniel in the bible, even after we pray sometimes our prayers would get caught in the loop of adversities.
During this journey, I believe that God was testing my patience and endurance along with perseverance. I believe that God wanted me to create this devotional to impart in the next person.
I want to share my devotionals with you. I hope this will encourage and inspire you to reach for more.
My prayer is that we would live our lives with purpose, on purpose and for purpose. There are times that we get caught up in the everyday proclivities that we forget to walk into our greatness with confidence.

It takes getting fired to stumble on my natural born gifts that God would no longer keep dormant. I’m the one who has been writing basically her whole life but now realized that she’s an author. Author of five books. Created her website. Stumbled on the fact that she also is an app developer along with designing and making purses. Then designing shoes. Can also be known as a blogger. I would like to introduce you to me. Just me being the best version of who God has created me to be.

Walk into Greatness - Audrey Turner
YOUR SHIP IS WORTH IT
1 John 4:10-12 (NIV)
¹⁰ This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
This title resonated with me because so many times we make mole hills into mountains. I look at so many small disagreements that turned into big blown out argument and say to myself could that have been handled differently. Could they have sat down and spoke with love and truth. So many lost opportunities, where we have allowed the devil to enter in. What if the last time you saw that person resulted into an argument was the last time and now they are no more. What would happen if we allow the small stuff to dictate the different ships in our lives. I love to mediate at the end of the evening to see if I need to get anything right with anyone. Saying sorry is always surface, even if we take it to the Lord.
Luke 6:48 (NIV)
⁴⁸ They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.
The worst thing is to go through life wishing that you could of, should of, and would of... instead of allowing pride to capture our hearts and miss out on great ships.... friendships, relationships, kinship, partnerships and fellowships. I encourage everyone and including myself to evaluate the small stuff that we choose to carry and ask ourselves is it worth it. Is it worth being right and losing that ship. Is it worth sweating the small stuff. Is it worth sweeping it under the rug and now we have to deal with a mountain instead of a mole hill. Isn't it worth the trouble to speak in love and truth. It shows that ship that they are worth it. It also gives the people involved an opportunity to grow that ship or come to a meeting of the minds. At the very least, I would love to think that no opportunity is a wasted opportunity. I love how the Lord comes in and work.
Psalm 15:3 (NIV)
³ whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
Let's us pray:
Heavenly Father, I come to you and ask that you give us wisdom to use the small stuff to grow. I pray that we use that opportunity to grow as individuals and also grow that ship whether it is a friendship, relationship, kinship, partnership and/or fellowship. I pray that you will get the glory and we will use that opportunity to magnify you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Be encouraged and blessed
What are your thoughts? What would you do? How would you handle your ships in your life?
FRIENDSHIPS
Friendships are so important for so many reasons. We learn the meaning of friendships at such an early age. We learn how to share. We learn how to depend on one another. We learn how to play fairly. As we grow older that's when we make it more complex. We learn how to respect one another. We learn boundaries. We learn what we love and how we love to be treated by another person. We learn what's important concerning others and what really matters. Sometimes, we can get so sophisticated that we can actually mess things up. Simplicity is the key.
How often do we fight or argue about things that do not have relevance. Or how often do we find out how shallow a person really is. Or how deep a person really is. We learn about friendships by getting to know a person and what's important to them or what really matters to them. That's the foundation of a sound friendship. We can build a friendship on something so superficial. Which inevitably won’t last long. Or we can learn the true meaning of friendship that begins with a true foundation which is trust and respect.
I found that some of my greatest friendships started with us not liking one another, it gave God an opportunity to be the potter's hand. If that’s to be a divine connection that was set up by God.
I find that sometimes we have to define the relationship by what it is. What is it?! Sometimes, we sugarcoat the truth instead of being honest with ourselves. Some are meant to be acquaintances. Some are meant to be confidants. Some are meant to constituents. Some are supposed to be your ride or
