About this ebook

Wake Up! Preparing for the End-Times Outpouring is a trumpet calling the body of Christ to wake up to the fact that we are living in the post defeat of the saints era (see Dan. 7:21).

Wake Up! gives the historical evidence of the defeat of the saints; in contrast it looks at the characters of Daniel and his friends and the first disciples and shows how they acted and responded to the stimulus from their culture, so they could be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ.

Wake Up! encourages believers to become overcomers at the end of the end-times and to learn to counteract against the defeat of the saints. Believers are called to be continually filled by the Holy Spirit, to learn to release the gifts of the Spirit to destroy the works of the Devil, and to bring in the harvest and glorify the Lord.

You will learn:

The defeat of the saints prophesied in Daniel 7:21 is shown with numerous historical evidences how the defeat of the saints has occurred over the past three centuries. The saints are now living in the post-defeat of the saints era, but they are not to remain defeated. They need to be continually filled by the Holy Spirit and then demonstrate who Jesus is to the whole world. The little horn is still trying to defeat the saints through the Illuminati, whose goal it is to completely wipe out Christianity with their eugenic plans wanting to kill 90 percent of the world. The Ancient of Days has been pouring out His Spirit to help the saints to defeat the works of the Devil. Believers are to receive the Holy Spirit continually and then learn to demonstrate the gifts of the Spirit so we can bring glory to the Lord.

Preparing for the End-Times Outpouring, you will be challenged to rise up and embrace the true power and authority found in our relationship with Jesus Christ. God is looking for ‘believing believers’ who will live like the first disciples lived, and are the ones who will dare to shift out of casual, comfortable, powerless Christianity into manifesting the supernatural dimension of the Kingdom of God that transforms individuals and nations. We are living in such a day! ‘The time has come for the saints to possess the kingdom!’ Daniel 7:22"

    PREFACE

Wake Up! Preparing for the End-Times Outpouring began when God woke me up and called me to manifest His kingdom around me. I had never seen these kingdom manifestations before in my life. When I reflected on the different Christian experiences¹ that I had, I realized that many of those experiences had just kept the believers, like me, in a sleep, as we were not awakened to the call to be filled by the Holy Spirit. But if we get filled, we will truly become born again believers, and then we will have the testimony of the Spirit demonstrating how we are true followers of Jesus Christ (see John 3:5; Acts 4:13; Rom. 8:16).

The Lord had begun to release His Spirit through me so people were healed and demons were cast out, but I did not see many other Christians doing that. This book is a response to my observation that many Christians have an absence of kingdom demonstrations. Therefore, I am writing this book to wake up the body of Christ to the important things that believers, who will be living at the end of the end-times, are supposed to do.

    Jesus did ask,

However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?

    (Luke 18:8b)

The obedient believers who live at the end of the end-times will respond to Jesus’ question and have faith. Jesus does not only want believers. Jesus wants believers with faith, great faith! They are not just believers; they are: believing believers! I will juxtapose Christians with believing believers. Both of these are Christian terms, and you would think they should mean the same thing, but they do not. That is because many Christians have never released kingdom demonstrations.

Therefore, I am going to use the term believing believer, and it describes someone who releases the gifts of the Spirit regularly in her relational networks. When I examined the New Testament, I observed that is what the first disciples did. They released the gifts of the Spirit and that was the regular practice of those first disciples. And they were the first ones called Christians. Consequently, this book is encouraging the whole body of Christ that it is time to wake up to the hindrances to your faith, time to learn to be continually filled by the Spirit of God, and time to learn to release the gifts of the Spirit into the world around you.

I also noticed how Daniel and his friends had practices that show us the perspective of the faithful believer’s life. We will examine how Daniel and his friends modeled how believing believers operate within the culture they are sent to, as they show us some of the character, traits, and practices that believing believers need to have to be effective witnesses in the culture they are living within.

We will look at the various practices that Daniel and his friends had that are absent from the lives of many contemporary believers. I am suggesting that the contemporary believing believers need to renew their minds and begin to incorporate the practices that Daniel and his friends had. One of the practices is their understanding that Godly and ungodly spiritual powers operate in and control the cultures of the world.

I realized that the reason there is an absence of kingdom demonstrations was due to the spiritual attack that is described in the book of Daniel. Daniel prophesied that an ungodly power will come at the end of the age. This ungodly power is called the little horn (see Dan. 7:8). Daniel’s prophecy tells us that the saints are in a war and are being defeated by the little horn (see Dan. 7:21). I felt compelled to examine the historical evidence within the Western culture that shows how the saints were being defeated. This really became the impetus for this book, as I knew that all Christians were called to release the gifts of the Spirit, but they have been defeated. The knowledge and the power to release the gifts of the Spirit have been hidden from most believers.

Daniel’s prophecy also tells us that the Ancient of Days decrees He will pour out the kingdom on the saints when they are being defeated. Implicitly, this outpouring is to help the saints counteract the influence of the ungodly powers in the world (see Dan. 7:22). We will examine the historical evidence of the outpourings of the kingdom of God that the saints received, from a Western cultural perspective.

I began to understand from reading Daniel and looking at the historical evidence that we now live in the in-between period of time, which is living after the defeat of the saints. However, this period of time is before the kingdoms of the world have become the kingdom of our Lord’s, and before the ungodly little horn is destroyed (see Rev. 11:15; 20:10; Dan. 7:26). Therefore, this book will describe how our current contemporary Western culture has been shaped by ungodly spiritual powers that have influenced all of us, and they have left Christians in an unfavorable light, from the secular societies’ perspective. Yet, I also am compelled to write about the revelation of the ongoing outpourings, as I want to alert Christians to wake up and be prepared to receive the end-times outpouring of the Spirit.

I began to wonder how Christians felt about living in the contemporary culture. So in this book I will address the reader, as if you are a Christian who lives in the Western world, and you might ask yourself, How did we get here? Being a Christian today is certainly not cool. Being a Christian has actually become a bad word in the opinion of many people in the secular society. But for those of us who believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, we know that having our sins forgiven in Jesus’ blood is good news; so it could be a bit puzzling as to why they think being a Christian is bad news. But that is what this book will reveal, as it will show the cultural stimulus that created these bad reviews for Christians.

Wake Up! Preparing for the End-Times Outpouring is the first part of a two-book series, where this book deals with the questions: What are the character traits of true believers and how are they to act within the society they are living in? And this book also looks at: Why Christians are now despised? We will see from the book of Daniel the character traits of true believers and also the prophetic insights Daniel has given us that explains what has taken place over the past few centuries that allowed Christians to have become despised.

This discussion gives the context and background for the second book, Surprisingly Supernatural. This second book teaches the reader how to be filled with the Holy Spirit, how to receive the gifts of the Spirit, and then how to release those gifts in the reader’s relational networks. It also teaches the reader how to bring all the other Christians who are willing to come, into a greater knowledge of the Lord by teaching them how to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit themselves. And it teaches the reader how to bring nonbelievers to the knowledge of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and how to invite them to receive salvation in Jesus Christ.

The Lord had taught me to operate in many of the gifts of the Spirit, so I could demonstrate who He was to the world around me. I also got to show other believers how they can access the gifts of the Spirit as well. I began to see that people were healed in the marketplace, demons were cast out, and words of knowledge flowed out of me to nonbelievers that showed that Jesus knows them and is powerful.

Many of those nonbelievers came to faith in Jesus and asked Him to be their Lord and Savior. They saw the good news about Jesus and His kingdom. But many of them testified that, I have never seen Christians heal people before, or driving out demons before and that is because of the influence of the little horn that has defeated the saints, which we will examine in this book. We will address the problem about the absence of kingdom demonstrations by Christians.

Recently, I was in a restaurant and my waiter was wiping the table before I sat down, so I asked him, How are you doing? He responded by saying that he was all right, but he had a sore hand. I asked if I could pray for him, and he said I could. I laid my hands on his hand and commanded the healing to come and the pain to go. After one minute, he was healed. But then he told me he still had pain in his wrist. So I prayed for the wrist. Then he told me, All the pain is gone. It is healed. I told him, I am a Christian, and Jesus is with me. That is why His healing power flows out of me, so you could get healed. Do you know who Jesus is? He shook his head no and said, I have never seen Christians who pray for people so they get healed before.

I think the reason why a Christian is now considered to be something bad is that for many believers the Christ has been taken out of being a Christian. When someone gets healed, that is the good news of the gospel of Christ. But if Christians are without the Christ, no one gets healed. That is part of the answer to the question: How did we get here? This book will explore why has Christ, which is the anointing of the Holy Spirit, been eliminated from the lives of many believers?

I realized that there has been such a dearth of kingdom demonstration that even the elect are fading away from Christ (see Matt. 24:10). When I was promoting my book, Transformed by the Power of God: Learning to be Clothed in Jesus Christ, I wrote to the person who was my home group leader when I had first come to Christ. He replied, I do not need to read your book. I have changed my clothes a long time ago. I think I have an idea why being a Christian is now bad news. I think it is because we have not truly been Christians. This home group leader knew the Bible, but not the ways of the Spirit. That is why he could nonchalantly change his clothes without reservation. But Jesus says, Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him… (Rev. 16:15). Implicitly, Jesus is saying that believers need to wake up and get dressed, and He is telling that to those believers who live at the end of the end-times, which is the time I believe we are in now.

In my book, Transformed by the Power of God, I wrote that I discovered we were literally supposed to be clothed in Jesus Christ (see Rom. 13:14)². This home group leader implied he took off Jesus Christ and put on some filthy garment of sin. He had only known something about the Bible, but he failed to know the ways of the Spirit. He probably never had the overshadowing of the Spirit the way believing believers do, because they have the Spirit of God upon them. The majority of the denominations within the Christian church have not understood the idea very well of the Spirit of God being within believers and being upon believers. Because of that, many believers have been inhibited to demonstrate who Jesus is to the world. This is the exploration we will make in this book. It will show the reader why there has been such a lack of kingdom demonstrations.

It is only by God’s grace that I have some understanding of the gifts of the Spirit. But since I have understood what the Lord has taught me about the ways of God’s Spirit, I cannot turn my back on Jesus. I have seen Jesus heal the sick, perform miracles, and drive out demons from Muslims, Buddhists, Secular Humanists, witches, and New Age participants. Jesus has showed me His power. I cannot turn away from the knowledge that He is God and He is powerful, and much more loving than all the other purported gods. I know the problem has not been with Jesus Christ. It has been with His followers, who have not learned everything that Jesus has commanded His followers to be taught.

The next book in this series, Surprisingly Supernatural, teaches the reader to get Christ back into the Christian by receiving the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The reader is shown how effective this is, as it will easily help them to witness to others. We will also hear the prophetic call that the Most High God has on His believing believers who live at the end of the end-times.³ I hope you can join me in the journey through these two books as they have one continuous and progressive message that addresses how believing believers are called to live.

You are called to recognize the evil one who tries to hinder your walk of faith, hinder your ability to receive the Holy Spirit, hinder your ability to release the gifts of the Spirit, and hinder your ability to glorify the Lord by destroying the devil’s works. The evil one’s goal is to prevent you from learning to release the gifts of the Spirit.

I began to ask myself, How did the Christian church lose its power? How come we have accepted an impotent church? It appears as if some believers do not cherish the Holy Spirit. But Jesus did tell us, God is Spirit… (John 4:24) and that He comes to the believers when the Spirit of Truth is with them (see John 14:17-18; 17:26). I believe that believers must learn to cherish the Holy Spirit.

When I have imparted the Holy Spirit to some people, I have seen how the little horn has impeded the ability of believers to receive the Holy Spirit.⁴ This is seen when I impart the Spirit of God to people who have told me they were believers, and although they could feel the Holy Spirit with their hands, when I pulled away, the feeling left. The Holy Spirit did not want to stay with them, and that is because they were not true believers. Jesus did tell us that the world cannot receive His Holy Spirit; He also said that His worshippers must worship in Spirit and Truth (see John 14:16-17: 4:23-24).

His followers must be true believers, not just cultural believers and not just believers who go to church on Sunday. No! True believers have truly believed in Jesus Christ and asked Him in prayer to be their Lord, decreed that Jesus is the Savior of the world, and that He died on the cross, and believed that God the Father raised Him from the dead (see Rom. 10:9). Then, and only then, can they receive the Holy Spirit and become the true believers that the Lord had said that we must become.

Over the past couple of centuries, a large section of the Christian church has depreciated the importance of the Holy Spirit dwelling within believers. This is not necessarily the Christian’s fault, as there has been an enemy, the little horn, who does not want Christians to be continually filled with the kingdom of God (see Matt. 13:19).

The book of Daniel gives us a prophetic glimpse into these past few centuries. This book will discuss the implications of the little horn’s influence on the world including its influence on the Christian church over these past three centuries. The problem with the name Christian being bad news is that some believers had never truly asked Jesus Christ into their lives. Other believers did not get filled with the Holy Spirit; consequently, they were inhibited and they failed to demonstrate who Jesus Christ is to the world around them. Part of the problem has been the enemy, the little horn, who has tried to eliminate Christianity from the culture. We will show examples of how the little horn has attempted to eliminate Christianity from our culture.

    Scriptures that Influenced My Writing

Since the Lord wooed me to be filled by His Spirit and having read the Scriptures, I found that my writing has been shaped by the following Scriptures.

"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you" (John 14:16-18: emphasis added).

Jesus states that the world cannot accept the Spirit of Truth, which is the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Truth happens to be one of the forms that Jesus Himself comes to true believers as (see John 14:17-18). Clearly, the Lord Jesus meant that true believing believers would be able to accept and receive the Holy Spirit.

Paul reiterates what Jesus implies when he said, "For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, . . . if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory" (Rom. 8:15-17: emphasis added).

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children, and He does that primarily when we testify to others. As Jesus did say,

"When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who goes out from the Father, He will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with Me from the beginning" (John 15:26-27: emphasis added).

Jesus tells us the Spirit will be sent to us. Then He says the Spirit will testify, and we also must testify. Jesus links our testimony in context with the Holy Spirit being sent to us. Both Paul and Jesus tell us that the Spirit testifies through us. That means the Holy Spirit is indicating that we are not part of the world any longer. But the Holy Spirit testifies that we belong to God and are His children. Clearly, this testimony of the Holy Spirit is the hallmark indication that a person is a Christian (see Eph. 1:13-14).

When the Spirit testifies in our lives, it demonstrates the guarantee that we are Christians.⁵ But the church accepted the confession of faith as the assurance of being in Christ. Some say having water baptism gives the assurance of your being in Christ. We will discuss the context of water baptism in Chapter 7 and point out that perhaps it is not water baptism that the Lord was concerned about when He spoke of baptism. The practice to be continually filled by the Spirit of God
