What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger - Kimberly Blount

    LIVING IN DARKNESS

    OH TO BE KEPT

    How did this happen

    Where did it come from

This young woman that can no longer hide

This is who she became at least who she thought she was

All she wanted was to be heard and loved

The first one showed the attention her heart felt was real

Left her open another came and another until she didn’t

    know who she was

Being loose but thinking she had it all together

This is who she believed she was

No one knew she was fighting to know her self-worth

Rather feeling she was not good enough

Broken and confused cause every man became a

    stepping stone

Cause she didn’t know who love was

    Is there hope for her

    Will true love find her

Never her intentions to be where she is

    Growing up with low esteem

Skeleton in the closet must come out must come out

    must come out

And when it does her true healing can begin

The thing that started it all

was beyond what a child should ever feel

Not able to tell her truth of things

    She grew up in silence

Her presence was seen her voice not heard

Cause the young men decided to take the fragile piece of

Her were never charged and no one took action

She was left alone defending for herself

She was left in the darkness until the Light saved her until

The Light saved her until the Light saved her

It’s time to break history healing needs to begin

Get up you can make it you will win

You are more than a just pretty face

More than just a woman piece

More than what a man can say

Beautiful wonderful made in God’s image

But to know and believe what is true what matters for you

I believe even in the darkness there's a reason to live my

    friend

    THE ESSENCE OF HER

THIS YOUNG LADY THAT you see is not what she

    appears to be

The smile that you see is just that believe me

The beauty on the outside there is so much
