A Better Way

Try to bring your wrong to right

you’re in for a heavy fight

so many thought were on your side

will simply frown and let you slide

but I was there you needed me

now my soul is left to bleed

all because I could not find

what it was making me blind

now I found hope up ahead

trying to run from the dread

of an ever endless fight

that often went on through the night

this is just a better way

moment by moment day by day

A Different Plan

Had a wife messed it up

now sip from another cup

new one’s better understands

that I only have two hands

I tried to do the best I can

but God had a different plan

that’s all good I am His

the rest of it is not your biz

I am here I am tryin’

a whole completely new way of flyin’

don’t be hatin’ it’s just degrading

get a clue and make it new

A Gentle Touch

It’s always darkest before the dawn

but how far can my life go on

there’s too much hurt too much pain

I’m worried I will go insane

this cup of mine it is too much

I need a gentle loving touch

if you’re not ready if you’re not there

please do not pretend to care

Am I alive or am I dead

what can remove oppressing dread

did I get fooled and fail to see

the plan God had in store for me

if I did is it too late

or am I sealed in this fate

no fate on earth does God abide

you need to stay right by His side

and do not trust the words of men

God prevails in the end

so trust in Him the One who loves

and wear Him like a pair of gloves
