Introduction
––––––––
I'm standing at a set of traffic lights in downtown Toronto. It's a cool spring evening and I'm glad I didn't leave my jacket in my hotel room despite the hot afternoon temperatures. In front of me are standing huge skyscrapers and their lights are looking down on the dense traffic of the city center against the background of a deep blue, cloudless sky. It is quite noisy, and in between I hear a police siren and airplanes landing at the nearby Toronto City Center Airport. The traffic light jumps to green and already for the probably twentieth time in this evening I pass the zebra crossing to the other side of the street. Just for one reason I've been here for over three hours now. I would like to take a very special photo of the famous Gooderham Building. But time flies for me, because I am completely focused on my passion, photography. My thoughts merge with my actions and I almost completely ignore the hectic hustle and bustle around me. It is this famous flow state
that I find myself in and I fully enjoy it. When I will come back to my hotel room later, nobody will ask me where I've been for so long and I won't have missed anything because the story of this journey is written only by myself. Then suddenly the time has come. I find the perfect angle, the perfect camera settings and catch the right moment. I finally manage to take a shot, which perfectly reflects the atmosphere of this fresh evening in May in front of the Gooderham Building.
