It started with the game of Chess. He was teaching her the game using people. He just looked at her, but he never answered her. A couple of months went by and she began to change into someone she didn't recognize. She became uncaring and heartless. Several months would go by before she would receive the answer to the question that she asked regarding the game of Chess.
