    EPIGRAPH

And a little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

    Isaiah 60:22

    PREFACE

W riting was never appealing to me, until here recently. Growing up as a teenager, I enjoyed reading novels of all sorts, but actually writing one never crossed my mind. In my quest to receive some encouraging words from my Levite, I began to tell him some of the issues that were plaguing my mind. His response was for me to write a book and put all my life experiences inside of it. His theory was that I could possibly help someone else who may be dealing with some of the same situations. Well, needless to say, I didn’t get started right away, but I yet felt a tugging in my spirit.

When I became an Evangelist Missionary, I was given the responsibility of speaking the Word of God, in season and out of season. Unfortunately, speaking was something that I shunned away from, primarily because I often stuttered when I spoke. With this in mind, I chose to keep my words to a minimum. But God said otherwise. In preparing for various messages, I found myself receiving revelations from God that were worth noting. As God gave me a word, I delivered it with power, authority and confidence, trusting God to open the ears and hearts of the listeners.

So this is why I have such an unction to write this book. I give you what God has graciously given me. It is my prayer that God will open your hearts to receive this Word, open your ears to hear this Word and open your mind of understanding so that you too, can grow thereby.

    Dana

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

I would like to acknowledge my parents, Dwight and Bernice Taylor for training me to be a strong woman, mentally as well as spiritually. Thank you for the support over the years, even in my adulthood. Your encouragement and provision has allowed me to accomplish this great dream of mine.

Thank you Sisters for the love that we have knitted together over the years. I appreciate you Shavonda for believing in me and always letting me know that I was fearfully and wonderfully made. Dominique, it was your tenacity that prompted me and gave me the mindset to know that I could do it if I really wanted to. And Natasha, thank you for obeying the voice of God. Your support helped me to continue to see God even in my desert land experience. Dwana, thank you so much for being there. Your words of kindness have taken me a long way.

To my Levite, spiritual leader, counselor and advisor: Pastor Obadiah Wilson. Thank you, first of all, for encouraging me to put my life experiences in a book for others to benefit from. Thank you for compelling me to become everything God has planned for my life. Thank you for the messages that you’ve taught (they were good writing tools). You are a God-send.

I would like to personally thank you, Ms. Frances Butcher, for your financial support that caused the project to come to flourishen. Thank you so much for believing in me from inception.

John and Virginia DuBoise, I appreciate your hasty response to supporting this cause. It is because of people like you that I was able to stay encouraged through it all, knowing that there was someone out there that really trusted in my work. Thank you.
