I had no idea that I was in a male-dominated industry until a friend asked me how I managed. This was a long time ago. My initial thought was, ‘I manage just fine. The fact that there aren’t a lot of women means there isn’t much competition. Whenever they need a woman, it turns out to be me. So, I’m always booked.’ Every weekend comes with women’s conferences, and a female speaker is always needed. So, I’m always busy anyway. However, I had never paid attention to the fact that it was mostly men who were doing what I did. I wasn’t competing with them
