    DEDICATION

I would like to thank my wife Paula for her support and efforts to encourage me to step out of my comfort zone, to increase my knowledge of God’s Word. I thank Paula for the effort that she has continued to provide in order to protect me from the many negative things that members and people wish to unload. I want to thank my sister Charline for allowing me to interrupt her busy schedule and borrow her ear on so many occasions while working on this manuscript and other things that I have had to discuss with her. She truly is a kingdom Ambassador. I would Like to thank Nicole Garrison for taking the time out of her schedule to help me develop a drawing for the cover page that would convey the message inside the book.

    FOREWORD

We come into this world as strangers, not knowing anything about who we are, who created us, and why we are here. In order for a person to acquire answers to the above questions, they would have to depend on their parents or guardians to teach them this information. This information will prove to be of great value in people’s life. It will help them to identify who they are, who created them, and their purpose, provided the person doing the teaching actually has the true information.

This world was made for us to live in this temporary life. We are actually pilgrims on a journey through time.

Then the Lord said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years." (Genesis 6:3, NIV)

God has given us this amount of time to live and experience life, and we do not have to experience it haphazardly. There is an opportunity available to all people to extend this 120-year lifespan to an eternity. This statement in Genesis is different to popular belief of a life being the total sum of three scores and ten (seventy years). The extension to eternal life has been made available because of God’s only Son and the work he did through the Cross.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16-17, NIV)

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10, NIV)

In John 10:10, Jesus tells us why he came, and he also tells us why the devil is here. In the following pages of this book, you will find types of vises that he has used for thousands of years to mess up individuals, families, towns, cities, states, and countries. It is the author’s hope that spiritual eyes will be enlightened to the dangers and sorrows that will occur if you allow yourself to be deceived into making a decision.

Here lies a dilemma that the God that created us placed in us the ability to choose what we will believe and what we will do. We have a loving God that is waiting on us to reconnect to him, while, on the other hand, we have an enemy that is always trying to tempt and lead us away from God.

It is with these thoughts that this book is written; I want to inform and remind people that we have an enemy and that he is not made of flesh and blood. I want them to know that he never stops doing his job and that his purpose is to steal, destroy, and kill lives. Within these pages, you will discover why the devil is our number one enemy, and you will also find information that will help you to identify the presence of his activity in your life.

When you are able to identify his tricks and his schemes, then you will be able to avoid many of his traps. A great deal of knowing how to maneuver around him is being aware of the nature of his activity. The knowledge about his nature will help you to recognize him when he shows up. He pops up as a small flame, a little flicker, with the potential of creating a raging fire that becomes uncontrollable. Within this book you will discover how Satan will use various situations and your very own desire at the right time to mess you up.

Everybody needs to know that our number one enemy’s ultimate goal is to mess people up quick; this is why I say this; the earlier a person allows him to enter their life and influence their decisions, the stronger the negative emotional hold becomes in the future. When a person decides in the future that they are ready to make a change in their life, the memory of the past can now present itself as a deterrent. There are many things that a person can choose to do in the early ages of life; they are things motivated by the use of alcohol, illegal drugs, sex, and partying that can make life very hard for them as time progresses.

Too often the consequences of a person’s actions are never thought of by the individuals while they are committing whatever action they have chosen to commit; as you read through this book, you will read about many painful situations that could have been avoided. I want to serve notice to the world that we have an enemy and that he is alive and active; he is filled with fury because his time is not long. He lost his place in the Kingdom of God, and salvation cannot help him. Eternity is not an option made available to him. On the other hand, salvation has been extended to us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

We can have what he cannot; therefore, he is basically what some would call a hater.

Our number one enemy tried to kill Jesus from the first day after he was born; Jesus was God’s gift to us because Eve and
