The battles of your life are nothing but a microcosm of a battle that is raging between Christ and Satan, between light and darkness, between Christians and Satanists and between good and evil.

The book traces the genealogy of this battle, and demonstrates that it is a battle that has already been waged over epochs of time. It exposes the truth about Satan’s motives, that he is not fighting you per se but he uses your life in order to hurt God, and nullify God’s plans for your life. It outlines the pre-creation roles of Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer, their roles in the Kingdom of God and what led to the separation when Lucifer was thrown down to the earth. The Author is Michael Madumo, a servant of God ordained in terms of Ephesians 4:11 as an Apostle of Christ to the Nations of the world and the Islands of the seas. This book is dedicated to the Holy Spirit, who is my master, the breadth of the Almighty (Job 33:4), the Spirit of Counsel (Isaiah 11:2), Eternal Spirit of God (Hebrews 9:14), my teacher, my deliverer and the horn of my salvation. Also, to my Lord Jesus Christ, the only Lord and Saviour of the whole world.

Ch.01

Introduction

The title of this book makes for interesting reading. The first thing to note is that it acknowledges that there is a battle raging out there. And we know that where there is a battle, there are opposing parties involved. Even more importantly, when there are opponents at war, we must know who they are, and we must find out the reason why the parties are at war with each other.

Every battle has its own genesis. It is the intention of this book to lay bare the facts regarding the genesis of the battle that is raging between light and darkness, between Christ and Satan, between Christians and Satanists, between evil and good, and how this battle affects you, the reader. It will further spell out who the participants are, what their source of strength is, the reason for this battle and why it is being waged.

Many believers do not want to acknowledge the existence of war in their lives. There is a dangerously misleading narrative out there which suggests that when a person is born again, the problems of their life are over. In actual fact, much of the time, this represents the beginning of a battle in their lives, a battle that no one should fear engaging in, as shall be demonstrated throughout this book.

Children of God, we are at war with the powers of darkness, with demonic spirits, with the devil himself. Whether we acknowledge the existence of this war or not is immaterial, as the war is raging regardless. We are living in dangerous times, what the Bible calls the End Times, and we must arm ourselves accordingly with the breastplate of righteousness and truth and be ready for the second coming of Christ on earth.

Even if we may not actively engage ourselves in battle against our enemy, this does not grant us immunity from attacks by Satan. Satan will attack you, whether you know about it or not, and it pleases him when you ignore him. C.S. Lewis wrote that Satan’s greatest lie is to try to get us to think he does not exist. He is the original law-breaker, someone who has made it his business to move around looking to destroy people’s lives (1 Peter 5:8). The scripture says, Be vigilant and sobre, for your enemy is roaming around like a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour.

When you are vigilant and sobre is when you are watchful, looking around and not overly relaxed because, like a roaring lion, Satan looks to devour those who are unawares. Peter compares him to a lion because, as with a lion’s method of hunting which targets sick animals or those that have broken from their band, Satan is looking for people who have become casual and lukewarm or cold in their Christian lives. You must therefore be very careful with your life and the way you live it so that you do not open yourself up to being attacked by your enemy.
