I Will Deliver You

It was shortly after I had written Deliver Me Lord which was impacting lives for Christ when the attack came. One morning I woke up with blood gushing from my mouth and was rushed to the emergency room. When all the tests came back clear, I knew that this was a spiritual attack. The Word of God says that life is in the blood and Satan was all out to stop the flow of life to abort the plans that God had for me and to snuff out the very life in me. God always has the final say. It was at this point that this book was birthed.

Be warned, Satan will do everything in his power to prevent you from reading this book as the kingdom of darkness is exposed. Put on the full armour of God and cover yourself and your family in the blood of Jesus. I pray that every person reading this book will see the truth and have their spiritual eyes opened to every lie of the enemy.

The Acid Test

One of my early encounters with demonic forces was a few years back when I had owned a second-hand shop. On the very top shelf of my office cupboard, I had a bottle of acid used to test the authenticity of gold. It was a blistering, hot morning and I was preparing for work, looking for something cool to put on. What was strange was that my youngest son, only a few years old, cried and insisted that I wear a thick denim jeans and a jacket that morning. Later, I would discover that this dress code would shield me from what was to come. As I opened the shop door, deactivated the alarm and approached my office door, I will never forget the unnatural event that happened next. I watched in slow motion, the bottle of acid jump off the shelf, the lid pop open, lunged at me, splashing acid over my face and body. It felt like a spray of water over me. The warnings of acid are clear in that a tiny speck the size of the tip of a matchstick will burn and eat away the skin. Imagine the full splash on my face which would have left me totally disfigured for life.

In that moment of shock, I called upon the name of Jesus. The acid burnt holes in my jeans and jacket which did not penetrate the skin as it was protected by the thick fabric. Miraculously, my face was unscarred. The fax phone was burnt together with part of the files on my desk and cut the supply of electricity. When the technician arrived and removed the ream of paper from the fax machine, I was even more devastated. Appearing on the clear white paper were six forks in a row, blazing like the colour of flames of fire. Somehow, I knew that I was targeted by Satan and that he was all out to kill me. John 10:10 says, The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that you might have life and life more abundantly. The Word of God says in Job 23:10, But he knows the way that I take, when he has tried me, I will come forth as pure gold. I had passed the acid test.

Demons Are Real

Another incident that comes to mind was during the time when I was co-owner of a chicken takeaway. I was the only person that would open up in the mornings and with a very sound alarm system in place, there was no way that anyone would gain access. Huge sealed drums of oil were kept for kitchen use. This particular morning, on opening the oil barrel, I found no oil but a weak liquid almost like water. I was totally baffled and sought the Lord Jesus in prayer. That night I had a vision of a tiny, ugly elf-like
