I was busy with dinner preparations when he came in and put his arms around me from behind and kissed my neck.  I arched my neck and he kissed around and turned me and kissed me passionately. I slipped my hands into his hair and kissed him back. Just then there was a pitter-patter of feet and Daddy! Me too! Me Too! We laughed and he bent down and picked our daughter up and kissed her too.

I carried on with dinner and Pete took Paisley up to bath and bed. This was our ritual. A family full of love! Dinner was just about ready when Pete came down, showered and changed.  We sat at the kitchen table and ate. So, everything sorted at work now? I asked. Is Greg ready to take over?

If I am totally honest, Greg runs the place better than I do! I have no qualms whatsoever leaving him in charge for a fortnight – or forever! Pete laughed.  He will fetch me in the morning and take me to the airport. It should take about two weeks to pack Mom’s things and drive her back here. My only problem is being without you two for so long! Brielle, I love you with all my heart! This is going to be a long two weeks!

We cleared the table quickly and went to bed. Pete made slow passionate love to me all night long. He said: I’ll sleep on the plane! You’ll be able to make up your lost sleep here at home! and kissed me again and we started all over. Hell, I love this man with all my heart!

In the morning we reluctantly got up when our bed was bounced by Paisley wanting attention. We tickled her and I went to get her breakfast while Pete showered and got ready. When he came down I had our breakfast dished up ready.  We sat and ate and then he kissed us both and took his case and left with Greg who had just arrived. We stood on the stoep and waved until he was gone – we did this every morning for Paisley, but today it meant more to me.
