    The wind howled through the trees, scraping branches against the windows and the old house creaked and groaned as these big old places are wont to do, doing absolutely nothing to lighten my dark mood and brighten my day! I sat in front of the fire with a glass of wine and started into the flames, wishing they could burn away my problems!  If only it was that easy!

    I needed a change and I needed it fast!

    My phone vibrated on the coffee table. It was about to fall off the table when I grabbed it.  It is Jessie, my best friend.  She lived about 1000 kilometres away in Pretoria.

    Hi, Jess, long time no hear! I greeted and was shocked to hear sobs on the other end of the line. What has happened?

    C-c-can I come stay for a while? Jess sniffed.

    Of course, come whenever you can, I said.

    I’m arriving tomorrow m-m-m-morning, I’m more than halfway there already and am b-b-booked into a B&B for the night, Jess said Get the spare room ready!

    No problem, I’ll be waiting! I said.
