We all need to be encouraged at some point in our lives. Life can bring some challenges. Some are due to our lack of knowledge--our ignorance about the result of certain decisions. Others are due to our knowing fully what could result. And still, some are due to the actions of others...none of our doing.

Whatever the case, a good word, an encouraging word is always in order. It may be tough to swallow, but still encouraging.

These are some of my thoughts that I've written over the years on Facebook. Inspired by Holy Spirit, it is my prayer that you will be uplifted and encouraged to be purposeful in your living.

In memory of my grandmothers:

Grandma Evelena was my correspondence buddy. We wrote notes to each other in the old-fashioned manner: paper, pen, and stamps. These letters are full of my grandma: laughter, a bit of news, encouragement, and wisdom.

Granny was a writer. A word or phrase would prompt her to write, and we shared that love of the written word by becoming writers and through our avid reading. Her many Bibles show her love for learning God and the world around her.

There are no words to express how deeply each is missed.
