This book contains proven steps and strategies on how the Ketogenic diet works and the list of food that you are allowed and not allowed to eat.
The Ketogenic Diet is advantageous to epileptic children who don’t respond well to medications. This is also used to treat people with Alzheimer’s disease. However, the ketogenic diet is not all about that. This is also proven effective in improving one’s overall health and in effective weight loss.
With the Ketogenic diet, stored fats in adipose tissues are the first ones to burn off. This is because the body considered these fats as the next form of usable energy. However, fat burning is only achieved when the body is under the state of ketosis.
This is a highly restrictive diet because you’re not allowed to eat carbohydrates from grains, starchy vegetables, and sugary fruits. Instead, you will consume dairy products, good fats, meat, nuts, and seeds.
Here are the following food that are allowed in the Keto Diet:
Red meat such as lamb, pork including liver and marrow, goat, and beef.
White meat such as chicken, chicken eggs, chicken organ such as liver and gizzard, turkey, and duck, and their by-products.
Seafood such as crab, prawns, lobsters, squid, fish, smoked fish, fish cutlets, clams, scallops, mussels, and oysters.
Fruits such as avocado, blackberry, tomatoes, strawberry, lemon, watermelon, melon, coconut, apricot, cantaloupe, cranberry, peach, kiwi, blueberry, and apple.
