Growing up, cast iron was always used in our home, primarily by my father. Because he had such a heavy influence on my cooking, I naturally continued using cast iron in my own home with my wife, Philana. Up until 11 years ago, we only owned a few pieces of Lodge cast iron. One evening, I came across an article about various brands of vintage cast iron, particularly Griswold.
