About this ebook

Lydia and Seth have both been brought up in the New Eden, a secluded, hedonistic, utopian community hidden in the mountains of Colorado. Young and in love, they've been secretly seeing one another ever since Lydia turned 18, hoping they would be allowed to marry.

But cult life is never simple. Seth is the Prophet's son and his father wants him to marry someone else- but more importantly, the Prophet is saving Lydia for someone special -Klaus Heller, the new Prophet of New Arcadia- a new community being built in Canada.

Young love is torn apart- but when Lydia learns Seth could have saved them and didn't, she embraces Klaus, formerly the most eligible bachelor in New Eden, with open arms - even putting on quite a show at their public consummation- leaving Seth devastated...rightfully so.

This is a twisted love story that does have one happy ending.

Warning: This 10,000 word e-story contains explicit descriptions of sexual activity between an older man and an eighteen-year woman. It is intended for mature readers who will not be offended by graphic depictions of sex acts between consenting adults.

The Prophet's Son - Matilda Martel

    Chapter 1

    Lydia

Iwas almost done getting ready for bed, hoping to jump into a quick bath when I heard a faint scratching at my window. Afraid my parents would hear or one of the neighbors would see the tall dark-haired boy hanging off our second floor, I rushed across my room to let him in.

Seth, it’s past midnight! You shouldn’t be here. I whispered as I helped him climbed over the sill and closed the window behind him.

Baby, I needed to see you. I’m going crazy wondering what you think of me. He looked as if he’d been crying. His soft hazel eyes were glassy, and his pale complexion was ruddy and flushed. I and everyone else in the New Eden community had heard the rumors since mid-morning. Seth Kincaid, the Prophet’s eldest son was getting married.

Turning away from him, I tried to act unaffected. I never expected him to marry me, no matter how many times he’d promised he would. I don’t think anything of you, Seth. We always knew this wasn’t going to go anywhere.

That’s not true, Lydia! How can you say that? His voice broke as he almost choked out his words. I tried to talk my father into letting me marry you. I begged him.

He fell to his knees and wrapped his arms around my hips, hugging me for dear life. Please tell me you believe me, say you believe I fought for us. I promise you I did. I love you so much. You’re the only one I’ll ever love. Crying harder, he made me feel bad I’d been so flip.

I believe you. At least I want to believe you. I’ll be fine, Seth. You’ll marry, and you’ll take over New Eden one day and all of this, including me, will just fade away. I stroked his course hair, attempting to comfort him, unable to tell him my own news.

He looked up at me with a stunned expression. What? Fade away? Don’t you believe I love you?

No. I’m sorry, I don’t, and you don’t, Seth. Not really. I caressed his cheek and tried desperately to hold in my tears. I loved him but if he truly loved me, he wouldn’t or couldn’t allow us to be separated. At least that was what my 18-year-old brain believed his 21-year-old heart would have done. I walked into the bathroom, leaving him on his knees near my bed.

He stood up and I immediately saw his looming shadow on the wall following me in. Pressing his body against my back, he wrapped his arms around me, enveloping us both. Baby, I don’t think I can live without you. He whispered solemnly, almost forcing the dam to break and making me cry.

Apparently you can, Seth. You should go. Please go. My voice cracked as he turned me around, lifting me and snaking my legs around his waist.

I can’t. I need you, Lydia. I promise I’ll keep trying. His lips lightly grazed mine, caressing them, trying to see if I would welcome more from him. All I could do was sigh sadly. All I could do was trust him.

Seth, you should go. You’ll regret staying here, we both will.
