    Welcome, readers, to the July 2018 issue of Spaceports & Spidersilk.

    Looking back through my files, I see that I’ve been editing S&S since 2008. That means I’ve been looking through the art, stories, and poetry that people send me for around ten years, trying to put together issues that I hope will appeal to readers aged eight years and up.

    There are times when I wonder what right I have, as a person who is (in years at least) an adult, to decide what will appeal to kids. When I was in elementary and high school I devoured fantasy and science
