Greg (thecalminside) is an introverted, naturally curious guy that has had to deal with what he calls: mental-emotional pressure. Anxiety, depression, chronic depersonalization and panic are things that have pushed Greg to search for healing in his life over the past fifteen years. He was turned onto meditation and mindfulness by a therapist he was seeing and enjoyed them so much he made them a regular practice in his life. It is through those practices that a full, still, calm place opened up within him. And it is from that space that writing flows. It is from that space that these books have flowed onto paper or screen. He hopes these writing leads you to healing and to a full, calm and alive space within you. He hope what he has written helps you with your struggles and mental-emotional pressure in life.Besides writing Greg enjoys spending time outdoors, camping and fishing. He also enjoys both playing and listening to music. He has a love and fascination for the inner working of the physical world around him and that fascination led him to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. And while it isn't his main pursuit in life now, he still enjoys mathematics and the theoretical side of that discipline. Greg currently resides in Washington State with his wife of 6 years and his two daughters.

Pain is only trying to guide us
Home, to Life and to Love.
And ultimately,
Pain is Life, is Love.
I hope you’ll allow this book to sink in, to resonate with your Heart, because that is my intended audience — your Heart. Breathe, read and feel. I feel that is the best way to go through this book.
I hope this book helps you gain a new or different perspective on aspects of life we all share and can struggle with, and I hope this can help you experience:
Pain without suffering.
Life beyond birth and death.
Love without cause
~greg
A note to help you navigate:
The capitalizations of Pain, Love and Life are meant to distinguish and not to diminish. They are done to simply make a distinction between what I'm referring to and what is commonly called pain, life and love in everyday life.
Pain with a capital P
refers to emotional unease and discomfort and the capitalization is to simply there to distinguish physical pain and unease from emotional pain, such as anger, loneliness, sadness and fear.
Life with a capital L
distinguishes what most people call their life: their job, their name, their friends, their relationships from this, ever-changing, moving, breathing thing we all share, that Lao-Tzu simply calls the Tao (the way).
Love is capitalized to distinguish romantic or material love from Love, a force that connects, nurtures and supports all
